5 out of 5 eggsMuch better

Pros: Installed, system boot much faster, most applications launch to usable state faster. I am very Pleased so far.

Cons: Caompaq Presario SR2168HM post doesn't know what to call this processor except "AMD Processor - Unknown Model" Bios recognizes it as a Dual Core Processor at the correct speed though.

Other Thoughts: Great Price and fast delivery.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal

Pros: After coupons and such I got this chip extremely cheap! Either way, it's a great chip for what it's worth. I have mine paired with a Biostar nForce 550SE that I got very cheap (used) from a friend.
Running the chip at 260FSB (x4 HTT) @ 3.00ghz exactly. Bumped vcore to 1.300 BIOS, ~1.37v CPU-Z read @ load.
Memory running 860mhz 4-4-4-13.
Primed for 72 hours and then cut it off (yes, I know I didn't need that much priming, but I forgot the machine on) :)
I have a budget aftermarket cooler on it (one of the Rosewills I got for $20). Idle 25C, load 36C.

Cons: ZILCH!!

Other Thoughts: If you can pair this with a budget board, the 11.5x multiplier will give you plenty to work an overclock at a decent FSB bump.

5 out of 5 eggsBE-2400, no other way!

Pros: Very Cool, Quiet, Energy Efficient, Overclockable, Good undervolting

Cons: I bought it back when it was $99

Other Thoughts: Its been running for an entire year without a hiccup. Does 1.2Ghz at 0.8v or 1.7Ghz at 0.95v. Easily overclocks to 2.7Ghz without overvolting. Does 3.2Ghz with my Scythe Ninja heatsink.

5 out of 5 eggsruns solid

Pros: Got it at $39.99 +free shipping, throw it in a foxconn a7gm-s $69 with 2gb adata ddr2 800 5-5-5-18 $25 for the first couple months, it ran everything i threw at it.

This week i added another 2gb adata ddr2 800 5-5-5-18 and got a MSI n9800gt oc for $82 newegg always delivers

Im running Vista Ultimate 32bit 5.0 rating, might switch to Windows 7 next week

Cons: not the best overclocker but a decent chip for the money, I advise using an amd 780g or amd 790gx chipset

5 out of 5 eggsLow power, great overclocker

Pros: Very low power, very easy to overclock, reasonably fast. I popped this into an Asus M3A78-EM and with no increased cpu voltage was able to easily get to 3GHz. It's going into an HTPC so cool and quiet is the theme and this cpu puts out almost no heat. Lowering the cpu fan to a silent 1000rpm still only results in 27C idle and 42C full load temperatures.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: This seems to be a real winner in the HTPC arena.

5 out of 5 eggs9 months and still happy with it

Pros: This runs our HTPC which is how we watch 98% of our tv via PVR functionality. Performance is more than adequate and wattage is relatively low. Also heat is a non-issue with a good case.

Cons: Performance not stellar, but what do you expect? If you want something faster, spend more money.

Other Thoughts: Currently running Win7 beta Media Center w/ patch. With a good video card, still no issues with performance.

5 out of 5 eggsPush It to 3.0 Ghz

Pros: you can oc this to 3.0 ghz (heat limited on air cooling)
you need to relax your memory timings to run your fsb any faster and get some memory you can overclock as well.
runs cool, on stock timings.
using zalman fan

Cons: none for price

Other Thoughts: using foxconn a7vmx-k, ocz platinum ddr2 800 memory
great oc mem/mobo combo.

5 out of 5 eggsCool and fast

Pros: Runs cool, overclocks relatively easily, running at 2500Mhz with no issue..runs at a cool 1.1 volts on air cooling only. Quick processor, even good at media encoding and gaming.

Cons: Overclocks well but not far...2600Mhz would have a hiccup or 2, any more than that and no POST...so 2500Mhz is the truly safe max on my board

Other Thoughts: Running this processor on a Nvidia 590 Sli
2GB DDR2-667 Dual Channel
Ati Radeon HD3650 512MB DDR2
250Gb SATA HD
SATA DVD Burner (bought from Newegg, very happy!)
450W power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsCool & Quiet, Indeed

Pros: Benchmarks slightly faster than my 2.5GHz 4800+, though this may be from differing chipsets (7050 vs. 6150). Runs very cool with little power consumption.

Cons: Power usage and heat jump up (relatively) considerably when under load, but still very acceptable.

Other Thoughts: The "con" is really more of a testament to the speed/voltage throttling ability of the processor. for most basic apps when major muscle isn't needed, the processor idles along at a cool 1.0GHz and 1.0V. I measured power usage of my HTPC using a P3 Kill-A-Watt meter and got 41W for idle and 77.5W under 100% load. That's for the entire system!
