Awsome
- Pros: awsome better performance then any athlon x2 CPU made for games when you click in AMD overdrive early in the year version you get 40 percent increase in performance that completey wipes the floor with the 5200+ f3 version I had before. Just click on green button it turns yellow in AMD OVERDRIVE on the top right hand side it takes off like a rocket in CRYSIS and SAGA RALLY And even in some only single core games like NEED For speed Carbon.
- Cons: none just make sure you have old version of OVERDive new version does not increase performance of overdrive.
- Other Thoughts: well worth the money awsome better qualty graphics then Athlons had. it does get hot up to 50c
Love It
- Pros: Handles everything I throw at it, and then some. Combined with 3 gigs Corsair DDR2 800 RAM and Asus M2N-E AM2 mobo (BIOS V. 1304), this is a multitasker's dream. Will take a 10% overclock (2420) at sustained full load without a hitch, rock solid. Ran Vista's performance assessment, did not pass 60% utilization during test resulting in 5.9 CPU score. Also, opening 40 large programs simultaneously is no problem for this CPU. Sure, Int3l has better benchmarks, but for this price, AMD can't be beat.
- Cons: Runs in the 45C to 58C range on stock cooler, put in aftermarket 120mm HSF and temps drop to 35C to 45C.
- Other Thoughts: During the winter I use a dryer duct to bring in cold air from outside and this thing takes a 12.5% OC at 22C. May try liquid cooling this winter with the radiator outside.
works like a honda
- Pros: great for work.. 99% of the time the overall cpu is bellow 50% even with 100 things running (2-3 operating systems at the same time) allso this thing is great for seti@home, you can really see the power
- Cons: not so good for gaming... the price is much cheaper now than when i purchased it...
- Other Thoughts: buy AMD, they rock
