5 out of 5 eggsStill chugging along in 2013

Pros: Bought this back in 2009 to go along with a GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2 AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard and 2Gbs worth of memory and it's still working as intended in 2013. Installed without a problem out of the box. I'm not into overclocking, so maybe that's why it's lasted as long as it has. Got it for a good price at the time.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs5400

Pros: pretty average cpu, mine runs cool and at about 2.9 ghz.
this is a great cpu for people on a budget, it handles games and multiple apps no problem.

Cons: not much room for improvement, going with a black edition is probably the way to go.

Other Thoughts: quad core in the near future!!!

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied customer

Pros: Price and speed. Plugged this in to max out my aging ASUS mobo and it works fine. Used Arctic Silver and my cpu temp fluctuates between 48-52 degrees celcius. Need to let the Arctic Silver set for at least a week.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Fast shipping! UPS guy was kinda creepy. Used the AMD fan that came with chip, however, used existing Coolermaster heatsink. Included heatsink sucks...my coolermaster has copper bottom.

5 out of 5 eggsvery nice

Pros: Nice little processor, runs (somewhat) cool, i slathered paste on it anyways, seems to be running a bit cooler than most people can get it to run. The fan for this thing is LOUD though, no big deal.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Actually using benchmarking software, the processor says its clocked at 2.81 GHz, guess i got lucky.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Proc

Pros: This is leaps and bounds faster than my old system with an Athlon 3200+. Runs very cool even under load.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Stock cooler seems sufficient. Runs cool and quiet. Mostly web and some Frets on Fire.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Great for the price. OC'd to 3GHz stable.

Cons: Runs pretty hotter than my old 4200. It idles around 40~45c, 50~55c under heavy load with Freezer 64 Pro.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This processor worked as expected right out of the box. The pre-applied thermal compound is sufficient and the heat sink and fan combo keep it running cool. According to third party clocking programs this processor runs at the stated speed of 2.8GHz. I purchased this to replace my 2.3GHz 4400+ dual core and I have noticed a definite improvement in frame rates.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Slightly faster processors available at similar prices.

5 out of 5 eggsGood-bye old friend

Pros: This processor was solid as a rock, it stayed cool during many late-night gaming sessions on stock heatsink/fan while my Graphics Card and RAM started to overheat after 10 hours of use. It never lagged on me, even when I was swarmed by ten Pyros, (that was my wireless card that lagged). It RAR'd and 7z'd hundreds of files, and never once complained while it was under full load (my RAM liked to do a physical memory dump every now and then), the hottest it ever got was 118 deg f after 12 hours under full load with stock heatsink/fan. It can withstand an overclock up to 3.2 GHz.

Cons: Abso-freaking-loutley none

Other Thoughts: So long my faithful companion, so long and thanks, for all the fish.

(Upgrading to 955 BE)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: well, it's definitely a huge upgrade from my old AMD Sempron 3400+ 1.8 GHz single core processor, free shipping and a heatsink and fan at a really nice price, wonderful little chip

Cons: none as of yet

Other Thoughts: i'm a casual gamer, so this is pretty good for me, running WoW at 30 FPS at maxed out settings. and lost planet extreme condition is finally getting over 24 FPS. with the fact that im running both at 1650 x 1080 resolution, this is doing pretty well for me
