5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quad Core

Pros: Great Quad Core CPU. Easily Over Clocks to 2.8GHZ with stock cooling solutions. Getting a 12300 3dmark06 score paired with a HD4850 512MB.

Cons: Fan kicks into high gear when under load and produces a noticeable amount of noise.

Other Thoughts: Overclockers check out AMD overdirve.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the trick!

Pros: This thing is quick. Runs Vista even faster than my old computer cold run Win XP. Internet pages load faster. Programs install faster. Games run faster. Everything is just FAST.

Easily overclocked it to 3.0 GHz on 1.3v and 200 FSB with 15x multiplier.

It comes with a nice heatsink. The processor idles around 30 C-31 C. 45-47C under load.

Cons: Higher FBS speeds caused some of the cores to cause errors when running tests using Prime95 though I believe that may have been a problem with my RAM not enjoying the overclock. I lowered the FBS and upped the multiplier to compensate and it works like a dream.

Other Thoughts: I'm running this on an Asus AMD 790GX motherboard along with a HIS Radeon HD 4850 video card and couldn't be happier. It is an amazing upgrade over my old AMD Athlon 64 3000+ single core 2.0 GHz processor.

I've always had great performance with AMD products and so far this has not been an exception. Who needs a $200+ quad-core processor when you can get this for $160?!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor

Pros: This chip is great. Much, much faster than my old amd 3000. Bought this for a new build.
Product description says it is the processor only without a fan; this comes with a fan. I bought another one thinking it didn't come with a fan but ohh well, new fan I bought is nice as well.

Cons: None at all!

Other Thoughts: Amazing processor for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsGlad I Chose the 9950!

Pros: Easily OC'd to 3GHz just by changing CPU multiplier x 15 w/in Vista on ASRocks' overtuner program. Idles at 40 C on stock cooler and chews up everything I've thrown at it. You just can't beat an AMD Phenom processor for the price.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: ASRock AOD790GX MB
AMD 9950BE 140W
8 GB's G.Skill 1066 RAM
WD SATA 640 GB HDD
Lite-on SATA DVD/CD Burner
Coolermaster Case RC690
Saphhire Radeon HD 3870
Corsair 750W PSU
Vista 64

4 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU for the price!!!

Pros: I have been using dual core; but with the quad core it really makes a difference in multi-tasking.Nice temps also. And the unlocked multiplier in conjunction with a good board will make an awesome machine.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have nothing bad to say about this CPU

5 out of 5 eggsFast and excellent value

Pros: I got this as a combo deal with the ASUS M3A78 Pro mother board during the 169.99 shellshocker deal and am not at all disappointed with my purchase.
Was able to overclock to 3.0GHZ just by setting the multiplyer to 14.5 and using a 3% auto overclock setting. At this speed it idles at 41c and when encoding video averages 50c with a zolman heatpipe air cooler. At 3.2GHZ I was having some stibility problems but i'm sure if I tweek the vcore a bit I'm sure it will run stable at 3.2GHZ. All my programs are stable and I'm sure I can get more speed out of this but why push it. Its more speed then I need. This CPU is an overclockers dream.

Cons: Absolutly none

Other Thoughts: Get this processor if your into overclocking you won't regret it. I've read that some are overclocking as high as 3.6GHZ with water cooling with no stibility problems.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: runs smooth and quiet, huge upgrade from a 3800+ dual core
No problems with over-heating at all. Found the cooler that came with it to be just fine, runs at 42-45 consistently

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Before purchasing I read a lot of reviews and quite a few advised that the stock cooling fan was inadequate. I completely disagree and now have a HUGE Freezer 7 Pro on sale on Craigs list. What is really so important whether it runs at 42, 43, 45, or such? If it was roasting in the mid 50's, OK yeah, maybe.
