Pros: Looks like a great processor, and the price is very respectable

Cons: I dont own one yet.

Other Thoughts: I've been curious about something. Would this processor, overclocked to 3.4-3.5ghz, be a decent upgrade to an AMD 5000+ black edition running at 3.21ghz?

5 out of 5 eggsFaster than Brisbane 5400+

Pros: This CPU IS A BEAST! I also have the AMD Brisbane 5400+ OCed at 3.3 GHz but this one runs circles around it.

I OCed this one to 3.4 Ghz stable and i saw a 20%-30% gain in games than the Brisbane. Its the 1MBx2 cache that makes the difference over 512kbx2 cache of the Brisbane.

Cons: Ok this is a beast. You need to have a good cooler. I have this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835200025 and get 38C idle 55C full load at 1.55 Vcore. Make sure it dont go about 63C under load and you be ok mon.

If you want to go higher than 3.4 GHz you are going to need good RAM cause it has locked multiplier.

Other Thoughts: I feel good inside about this CPU. :O

5 out of 5 eggsVery Fast. Exactly what I expected

Pros: Fast processor; does what it's supposed to do. Will run current games with no problem. Have built 3 machines with this processor and each client loves it.

Cons: Non too critical other than heat, but AMD has always run a little hot...

Other Thoughts: Can't beat the price for a processor like this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: I really love this processor. I have the black edition but it's pretty much the same. The 2MB of L2 is totally noticeable from my buddy who built a 5000+ BE. Stomps everything I throw at it. Overclocked to 3.8 on simple watercooling system and only hits 43C under load.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: It gets a 5.7 in vista rating when not overclocked... not that it means anything. Running at my speeds beats the Q6600 in most benchmarks for way less $$$

5 out of 5 eggsOEM A-OK

Pros: Great performance. Great Price. Great upgrade form my +4200, & the extra L2 cache grants noticeable gains in CPU intensive applications.

Cons: Going from the energy efficient 65w to this 125w is gonna up the utility bill a pinch, but well worth the extra scratch.

Other Thoughts: This is my 2nd OEM cpu from Newegg and my 5th OEM product, plus an OpenBox item or 2, & I have yet to have a single problem with anything other than incompatible RAM for my buddies Dell laptop :-(which they RMA'd quickly, I might add:-). Seems Newegg puts effort into making sure we are being well served, even when not buying Top-dollar-Brand-new-in-the-box stuff. Never disappointed. gOEM !

4 out of 5 eggsHot, in more ways than one

Pros: Its blazing fast, and can overclock (stable) to 3.5ghz. Truly impressive for a toaster oven from AMD.

Cons: Its hot. Its very hot. but, with a low-end liquid cooling system it stays at around 36C under heavy gaming load. This CPU probably isnt a good choice for the average user.

Other Thoughts: Im happy with it. It screams, and is comparable with Intel CPUs costing WAY more. If the phenoms were more mature when I was in the market, I would have gotten one of them instead, but this end of the 6000 line is mature, and high freq. I WILL get a phenom on the next upgrade.
