5 out of 5 eggsGReat processor

Pros: I have had this thing for over six months now, and have tortured the heck out of it. Yes this thing does overclock well. VERY. I've gotten 2.7ghz, with the stock fan, but it backed down to 2.6 for stability. Even at full load, this thing doesn't go over 30degrees C. I'm sure the Xaser III case has a lot to do with this, 7 fans, move a lot of air. I bought this thing for a cheap gamer, and I have been pleasently surprised.

Cons: Only single core

Other Thoughts: My setup is a Thermaltake Xaser III, full tower, (and then some), a rosewill 600 watt psu, and XFX geforce 7600GT, all strapped to a biostar 6100-939, with a 1gb stick of xx ram, TWINMOS I think. Can handle GRAW like a dream, SCDA is a little glitchy, (not sure that its the computer though). This a great processor for the money. A little love, and a lot of air, (or water), and it will scream.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome AMD CPU

Pros: One of the best cheapest AMD CPU's out to date. It works very well, and I'm sure the overclock capabilities on it are amazing as well for this price.

5 out of 5 eggsI love AMD!

Pros: AMD quality; runs cool as a cucumber with stock HS/fan;
64-bit architecture price, price, price!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Screaming fast video and audio processing on Nforce4 mobo chipset and 64-bit Debian.
As always, NewEgg rocks!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent processor

Pros: Bought this as a part of a combo deal.Though XP does not seem to boot faster than my old Celeron 1.7Ghz which broke down, the CPU is very good when it comes to running 2/more applications at the same time. Of course, more RAM means better performance but the Processor stays cool with the stock fan.

Cons: Nothing else other than the booting issue.Am still to figure out the cause for the problem.

Other Thoughts: This processor with around 2GB Gb RAM will do for most gaming IMO.

1 out of 5 eggsRMA'd this Puppy.

Pros: AMD

Cons: Overheats using stock heatsink/fan.
System shuts down during defrag and moderate loads.

Other Thoughts: Sent this puppy back to AMD. All my other AMD systems run cool, not this one.

Pros: Bought this processor because of its price from New Egg. It was built for every day use in the family room computer. Great processor for the cost.

2 out of 5 eggsgood processor - lousy packaging

Pros: Great cost effective processor. decent fan

Cons: really really bad packaging material. I bought 2 of them. One had a little damage to the packaging . The other had no apparent damage at all. The internal carrier (?) is made of some crumbly, fibrous material. In both cases, it caused a significant amount of debris to get onto the thermal pad on the heat sink. You have to be REALLY careful when you clean it off as the thermal pad is very soft and can easily be damaged.

Other Thoughts: I rate this product low due to the packaging problem. AMD should absolutely know better. The good news is both processors are working great. As long as you are super careful in cleaning the debris off the thermal pad, you will be ok. be aware.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going

Pros: It's been running @ 2.3ghz for about a year now. Runs pretty cool to, low 30's idle - upper 40's under full load on default voltage and stock cooling with arctic silver 5

Cons: I paid more than twice as much a year ago.
