5 out of 5 eggshad since 07 still going strong (12/19/2012)

Pros: I didn't buy this new, it came in an Alienware Aurora M7700 Laptop. The laptop is long gone but I bought a used Abit Fatal1ty 939 SLI board to put it in. I been using it for years, 3 years in my Alienware and about 3 years in my desktop. This has been an amazing processor, I just ran the new Need For Speed Most Wanted on it with a pair of 8800GT Zotac Amps in SLI. It did pretty good, played at 1920X1080 on medium graphics. I just upgraded to a new computer, still holding on to the FX60 probably forever. I have not one complaint on it, by far the biggest wow factor in now an older processor. If someone made a good 939 sli motherboard with updated ram, I'd still be using it.

Cons: At the time it was expensive, I would have never been able to pay for it. Now days its cheaper to buy something faster than to buy this used on flebay.

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE IT.

Pros: I have owned my FX-60 for well over a year now, and must say it still handles everything I throw at it without a hitch. YES, Intel's latest offerings have eclipsed it as the performance leader, but this processor was more affordable for me than switching platforms altogether. I would highly recommend it to anyone missing that one last piece of hardware to complete their 939 setup.

Cons: I would not recommend this CPU to someone building a new system. I'd say go AM2 or better yet Intel. Its too late in the game to drop five hundred bucks on a CPU that can be easily outrun by the competitor at a lower price.

Other Thoughts: Its a great feeling knowing that I have the BEST cpu available for my platform (939), even if it is no longer the king of the hill overall.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a difference..

Pros: Replaced amd x2 4600+ 512 L2 cache with this bad boy and have NOT been disappointed whatsoever. Makes Vista 64 hummmm. Stepping at 6 plus the 1mb x2 just makes her rip along!!!!!

Cons: Zero so far. Availability is touch and go, but this is worth its weight in gold(just about literally :())

Other Thoughts: Has always been my dream processor. Always cheaped out with cheaper models but just couldn't stay away. Should have bought it back in January when they were quite a bit cheaper. Do your research, may be able to snag one cheaper somewhere else.

4 out of 5 eggsGood CPU

Pros: This is the best 939 chip. Upgraded from a 3200+. Can run multiple applications run w/o lag and gaming experience is a little more realistic.

Cons: Price is still a little steep. This processor runs fairly warm (idles at 40 degress C), but it's within AMD's specs.

Other Thoughts: I bought this chip through TD w/ VISTA Home Premium. I should have bought VISTA Ultimate since the Home Edition does not support dynamic disks.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb

Pros: Very fast, upgraded from a 3500+ and notice huge performance jump and temps stays below 39c, happy with my purchase.

Cons: Last of the 939 cpu, so people get them while they last cause in a couple of weeks or months there gonna be gone for good.

Other Thoughts: Bought it on a other website with extra stuff just under 350 brand new.

Also people that are saying this is not fast and don't notice the jump performance from their current setup, LEAVE intel fanboys and don't review a product if you even haven't purchased it yet cause i got benchmarks and website reviews that make you're statement false.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy install, like any other cpu.

Cons: No noticable difference in performance from a 3700.

See MSWORD and adobe processes hang in memory even though I've exited the process. Setting them to affinity seems to help.

Other Thoughts: A lot of money for what?

I see no difference between this cpu and my 3700 with BF2 or any desktop application.

I've installed all the drivers et al, and MS multi-core hotfix after running a week hoping it would hep but to no avail.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU!!!

Pros: I upgraded from a x2 3800, what a difference!! I bought this chip @ TD for a good bargain. Easily overclocks with air.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I'd rather buy this chip than spend more just for a similar C2D or AM2 setup. I still get the performance I demand in my everyday multitasking.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ever since this processor hit the market, I knew I had to have it. It has been my dream to own it and now I finally do. It is incredibly fast, noticeable differnce from my x2 3800+. Overclocks well, running at 2.8 on stock air. Probly try watercooling when I have the money.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Try looking around for a better price. I got mine for 2 gigs of ram cheaper from another large computer website. Plus I got a copy of vista home ultimate for free as well. Look around before you go with this powerhouse.
