5 out of 5 eggsAll good.

Pros: Great performance. I'm a heavy gamer and I use my computer a lot. This processor is still running fantastic after a year. Runs cool.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: 11/25/2011 = DOP.

3 out of 5 eggs4th core unstable

Pros: I bought it at a bargain price. Delivery was on time.

Cons: CPU: the fourth core unlocked and recognized as an Athlon II. The fourth core was not at all stable and soon crashed the PC.
Speed: unimpressive, even with three cores it still performs like a slow Athlon II 2 core chip.

Bent pins: : It was not centered properly in the package before it shipped. I had to use a retractable pencil fuslelage to bend the pins back into position.

Other Thoughts: My fellow computer service company owners, please pay attention. We had a quote request from a woman who is starting a business of her own. She burned us quit badly.
I have to watch my language in this post. After we spent a considerable amount of our own unpaid time making a quote for her, she went and bought everything somewhere else., except the for a AMD-based server. At least now I can get rid of this CPU in a very satisfying way. I can "upgrade" the server with it. I don't want to even sell the server to her, but my partner insists.
These kind of so-called "shrewd" small business women are really just opportunists ripping-off vendors. That's not what shrewd means. Shrewd does not mean cheap narcissist.
I say to her cee yoU iN Toledo. There are so many shrewd ones from there. So there you have it. She is slow, bent and unimpressive.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Duper Card

Pros: Large cache
Good interface speed
Speedy
Cool on decent cooling (averages at 87ish degrees F.)
Reliable/durable
Overclockes well
Affordable

So, I got this one yer for Xmas, and installed it and all. Now, a year later, I decided that 2.8 with the unlocked 4th core aint enough, so I looked some stuff up, and OCed it. Runs great at 3.2 for me, I've heard that with good cooling you can easily get to a stable 3.5-3.8, not that my cooling bad, it's just fine, but I like to be at the safe side. So, @ 3.2, it never goes above 110 deg F.

Love it. Caution OCing though.

Cons: Uhhhhhhhh, none.

Other Thoughts: Loven it, and it works super fine, only hangs when I leave it on all night with a heavy game on. But, it knocks itself back into place a few minutes after I close the game.

A must buy.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked.
Was able to unlock 4th core.
A (slight) upgrade from my X2 5200

Cons: 4th core unstable.
CPU came with a deep (0.5 mm or so) gash in the surface. Initially I thought it was a scratch on the packaging, but then I realized it was the cpu surface! Didn't really have problems with temperatures though.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing for the price!

Pros: Successfully unlocked 4th core and achieved stable OC at 3.1ghz with a $10 cooler.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this roughly 8 months ago for my budget gaming PC build ($440). I have been nothing but pleased with the price/performance. 4th core unlocked flawlessly using the bios, and I even managed to OC it from there using a cheap, generic cooler. Not that I would dock eggs had it not unlocked, as it would still be a solid CPU for the price. It's too bad these aren't available anymore, were such an amazing deal. In the case that these are restocked, I must highly recommend.

1 out of 5 eggsDissapointed

Pros: None, it came with bent pins.

Cons: The shipping on this was poor. The cpu came with bent pins so I had to RMA this only to find out its now been deactivated and since I got this on sale to replace it with anything similar will cost almost double. lesson learned about buying sale products from new egg

5 out of 5 eggsgreat buy

Pros: Unlocked 4th Core got running all 4 at 3.3ghz stock voltage, using just multiplyer movement. Still very cool, running a coolermaster V8 with a a single Coolermaster r4 at 100% all the time, can't even hear the thing.

Cons: Non yet

Other Thoughts: Got this for xmas while it was on sale, got lucky with the 4th core it would apear since instead of a 2.8ghz triple core i have a 3.3ghz quad, just gonna help extend the life of this PC longer.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Upgrade

Pros: What a bargain! I spent less on this chip than the Athlon XII that it replaces! No plans to overclock yet, but the ASUS M4A77TD unlocked a stable 4th core with a couple of keystrokes.

Cons: Had a few scratches on top, was supposed to be OEM, not refurbished. It works, so 5 eggs anyway.

Other Thoughts: Now I've got a good 'X2 for a future build.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Bang for the Buck

Pros: Came in decent packaging
No bent pins
Black Edition (unlocked Multiplier)
Seems to overclock well
Possible 4th core unlock
OEM (not paying for a HSF that you might not use anyway)

Cons: There really aren't any cons, as long as you read the description and realize what you are getting

Other Thoughts: I bought this using another account along with a cheap AM3 motherboard and some RAM to upgrade my media/print/magic jack server...as far as this processor goes, It seems awesome.

I had a HSF lying around from a Phenom II 965 (quad-core) and slapped it on there with some Arctic Silver 5. I overclocked it to 3.0Ghz without batting an eye, and it sits at 29c on idle. Have not had a chance to stress test it yet, but I'm sure it can go higher without problem, especially if a put a better HSF on it.

I'm not reporting on unlocking the 4th core because I apparently bought a Motherboard that doesn't have that feature (oops, guess I went TOO cheap)... x3 is plenty right now though.
