Runs cool, Great OCing chip!
- Pros: I got this chip to 2.8ghz without any voltage changes. :D I was also able to do this with a stock fan, which the highest tmp was around 65C.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: If you do plan to overclock, do get a good cooler, you should never let the chip go over 60C, unless if its temporary.
A great CPU
- Pros: It's cheap. I got it when it was $35 w/ free shipping. It's lower wattage, so you'll save on your electric bill. I actually got this as a replacement for my 939 Athlon 64 3000+, and it outperforms it.
I've yet to attempt to play Crysis with it, but all the games I played so far have run fine with all settings turned up.
Overall, a decent budget CPU.
- Cons: None that I could think of.
- Other Thoughts: If only they made e-series quad cores.
Poor shipping
- Pros: From what I've read about this chip is runs very cool and has all the power that I need.
- Cons: Deplorable shipping! This processor was loose in the box with the other items that I purchased to build a new machine. Many of the pins were bent. Now I can't complete the new build until I RMA this processor. Newegg has declined from what they used to be. Closer attention to their shipping department is in order.
