5 out of 5 eggsThese are great CPUs

Pros: These CPUs are awesome, since they came out they have processed everything thrown at them. Very fast and reliable.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Of coarse now a days there are Quad Core and even Eight core CPUs. But these AMD dual cores are great processors for home or office use.

5 out of 5 eggsA Solid Performer

Pros: A nice low power processor that has worked out nicely in an XP-SP3 system and now in a Win7-SP1 64-bit system (that unleashes the full potential of this processor).

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for HTPC

Pros: Underclocked it to 2.6 GHz and was able to undervolt it to 1.04 volts (stock is 1.425) for a HTPC. Power consumption when under load (Intel burn test) dropped 37 watts.

Cons: Temperature sensors are wrong--they read below ambient at idle. The temps reported by the motherboard seem more realistic.

Other Thoughts: I barely need the CPU fan to run but I keep it set at a constant 40% so that it keeps nearby components cool.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Dual Cores, cheap price, good speed for a budget computer

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought this CPU for my sister's build. She really likes it. She uses it for basic stuff such as internet, photo uploads to facebook, and music storage. Great all around CPU for such things.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding CPU!

Pros: I just finished building my computer today. I already can tell that this CPU is worlds better than the Pentium D 3.4ghz, and scoffs at the Core Duo. I haven't even overclocked it and I don't know if I ever will. Whats the use if it does the job as is?

Cons: It isn't cheap enough ( bless my sarcasm ) .

Other Thoughts: I plan on upgrading away from this processor someday, but as of now this thing is rocking my world combined with my Radeon HD 5670 1GB DDR5.

I only have 2GB of DDR3 @ 1333mhz running on windows 7 64-bit. So far... smooooooooth sailin.

5 out of 5 eggs2nd one I have bought

Pros: For the price this processor is great! I would say for the average PC user. This will do the job and do it very well. I built a machine with this processor for my brother who uses it for email, internet, music and movies and he has been very pleased with it's performance. Just built another machine for a friend of mine who had a 300-350 budget. He is very pleased with the performance as well.

I mean a 64 bit dual core, 1 Terabyte, 4 Gigs of DDR3 1600 in a nice case for $310?! You just can't beat that.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Let's be honest here. For average users there is really no need for a four core or six core processor. I can literally count the people I know that really use a 4 core to it's full potential on one hand. Most people don't even need/use the power and generally get a 4 or 6 core for superficial reasons. For building a cheap and powerful 64 bit machine this thing is the way to go. I am not a brand loyalist but I think Intel has lost it's mind with what they are asking for their processors these days and am glad I have AMD to fall back on.
