4 out of 5 eggsFantastic CPU!

Pros: -Fast
-95W board compatible

Cons: -Locked Multiplier
-955 & 965 sell for the same price (125w)

Other Thoughts: This is a great CPU for the money ($89.99). I currently use one for my new media center and I couldn't ask for a better chip for the what I paid. I can play all my blu-ray movies, stream HD, etc. and I have an older 9800GTX+ as my GPU. I upgraded my media center from a LGA775 setup and the difference is incredible as it performs more like my i7 Ivy.

The only downside to this processor is it's locked multiplier and slightly slower clock speed compared to the 955 & 965. As the 955 (125w) and 965 (125w) sell within a few dollars difference they are the better buy. However, my motherboard only supports 95w chips and this was the best chip my old Biostar board could support.

I have a 3770K build and although it cost 5x more to buy you do not notice that speed difference until you significantly stress the cpu. If you are looking for an inexpensive quad core to handle all of your tasks, run as a media center or even a medium gaming computer, then the 945,955,965 is where you want to look!

5 out of 5 eggsBest processor I ever owned

Pros: Powerful processor, bought this in 09 and I still have it. It more than doubled the power over my Athlon II x64.
This thing also managed to survive overheating (the mobo warped it was so hot) and didn't take a performance hit.
The price for this kind of power and reliability is almost a steal

Cons: They came out with the X6

Other Thoughts: I am only just now replacing this CPU because I want to place Crysis 2 haha

5 out of 5 eggsfast processor

Pros: Much faster speeds. I've swapped from a dual core 6000+ 3.33ghz to this. I've been having lots of freezes and lags when playing games like conviction and now so far everything is lag free and fast. I was thinking of also getting 2 way sli for my gts 450 but so far don't need it.

Cons: Sometimes one of my cores gets disabled idk if that's a result of my motherboard but it always happens to core number 2.

Other Thoughts: I've got the last one hahaha

5 out of 5 eggsAnother good AMD product.

Pros: It's still running strong after almost a year of operating. Stays decently cool, worked right out the box, works for gaming and other processor demanding task, ext. I always go for AMD and it seems I will never need to even consider another CPU manufacturer.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Chip

Pros: *Please Read Other Thoughts First*

-Great Speed
-Very Quiet
-Best chip for a 95w board.
-Very stable

Cons: -Heat sink it comes with just looks too small. It really doesn't look like it would protect the chip. I compared it the the heat sink that came off my Athlon 64 X2 and it was tiny compared to it. I put it on anyway and started up windows to monitor temp. It seemed to keep it cool enough. Probably just smaller since it is a lower powered chip... It still looks scary having such minimal cooling equipment in there.

So if you are not overclocking it should be fine.

Other Thoughts: So I recently upgraded my system from an Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.1 GHz to this chip. I also upgraded my ram from 6 GB DDR2 800 to 8 GB DDR2 1066. Both of these upgrades made a huge difference in multitasking.

5 out of 5 eggsYet again AMD came through

Pros: This processor runs cool at 95 watts. i have no prob with is heating up. This thing is the top of the line for the $.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have over clocked this sucker at 3.5 and still running at 50C. I think i over clocked it by 20%. I just over clocked it a few days ago. so we will see how it goes, so far so good. and let me tell yeah. This thing is fast.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat value

Pros: *runs cool
*deneb core
*OC potential
*incredible value for $

Cons: *stock fan is not for OCing
*does not include thermal goop, just a little layer stuck on the heat sink. (runs cool enough though)

Other Thoughts: I have not over clocked this CPU but at stock settings it is running cooler (and obviously faster) than any older CPUs I have used in the past.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price and performance

Pros: Fast and cheap, runs very cool using stock HS/Fan (temps in the 20's and 30's, installed in an Antec three Hundred case, fans on low) WEI was 7.3 under win 7 x64.

Cons: Newegg has two identical listings for this cpu, one is a few $ cheaper for some reason...

Other Thoughts: 4 cores is overkill currently, but should be enough for years to come.
