5 out of 5 eggsWas fine

Pros: Never overclocked or anything. DId its job for what I needed it for. Never had issues with it and never had to do really any personal adjustments> Outdated now.

Cons: Ugly box?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quad-Core

Pros: Great out of the box stock CPU, runs cool in temps; never had any problems with it at all, first cpu I purchased was AMD athlon II x4 630, I will try intel this time and decide what I liked better, but it was solid performance for 100$ purchase.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Isn't supported by some BIOS under revision 1.0's, but as you can imagine is supported by up to date bios mboards.

I had revision 1.0 of a gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H and it did not list this CPU as supported although it worked fine.

4 out of 5 eggsStill going

Pros: Amazing Stats and capability for the Price.

Cons: Memory issues or burden O.C. software.

Other Thoughts: So basically my Board is shooting down my memory, or its this Core. I get memory management Blue screens. Simple computer restart until a successful load. I have placed 3 diff types/kinds of memory sticks in and all act the same at this point. I wish the O.C. software was easier to work, and less warning about damaging my computer if I do it. Just make the stuff work and tell me whats its gonna do. Dont over complicate the processor software.

5 out of 5 eggsYears of use and still a solid CPU choice

Pros: Amazing price for a quad-core at the time.
3+ years of use and this CPU is still a solid performer - still more than enough for what the build is used for, can compete with some more recent CPUs and should last quite a few years more. Great gaming performance even to this day.
Still useable in AM3+ socket.

Cons: No L3 cache but doesn't impact performance too much (comparable to a 2.6GHz Phenom 2 Quad).
Stock cooler it comes with isn't the best (loud) but good enough for stock.

Other Thoughts: One of my favorite CPUs i've used in a build - solid price to performance ratio at the time of purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGood CPU

Pros: I've used this since 2010 and its been a pretty good CPU. Still to this day its able to run Skyrim, Far Cry 3, Metro 2033, etc. That being said, it is still a 3 year old CPU and definitely can't play them at their highest settings.

Cons: None that I have found.

Other Thoughts: I have liked this CPU but have since upgraded my main computer. This will still be used in another computer, but probably just to surf the web. Overall, after 3+ years this little guy is still going strong.

5 out of 5 eggsnice little processor

Pros: very stable, also very overclockable, lasts very long time

Cons: overclocking is not an option with the stock heatsink, must purchase a third-party heatsink that cools it off better for the processor to remain stable in overclock mode. was only able to succesfully overclock it several mHZ with the stock heatsink and would still crash after 12-15 hours.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Fast for the price
Long term realibility
value
multitasking ability

Cons: none that i can think of

Other Thoughts: Got this little gem back in 2009 for a gaming rig, teamed it with a 4860 radeon and 4 gigs ram its held its own since then plays everything I want and only suffers from slow down due to hdd access times (not a ssd, shame on me!)

But being 3 years later I'm looking to build a new system, I'll be shifting this rig to my wife, which will be a hugh upgrade for her!

5 out of 5 eggsI know it's not being sold anymore but...

Pros: - I've been running it in my machine, no over-clocking, pretty much continuously since I bought it around 2 1/2 years ago. Not 2 1/2 years of uptime, but most likely 2 years in total uptime.
- It was plug and play with Windows 7 64-bit
- It's never given me any problems
- It gets a 7.2 on the Windows Experience Index (specifically the Processor rating, not overall)
- It was cheap!
- It seems to handle most things that I throw at it, and I'm a multi-tasker both program-wise and tab-wise. It obviously won't like it if I'm doing TOO many things at once, but I built a computer that gets a 5.9 because of my HDD, but ignoring the HDD value, the lowest value would be the processor at 7.2 for ~$600 at the time, so this processor was PERFECT for the job, and still continues to be.

Cons: None that I can think of. It's been a trooper, and I'm sometimes rough with my computer (although rough and stupid are two different things and I'm not stupid about it, I just give it a run for its money ;D )

Other Thoughts: I've also run multiple versions of linux on it, and it plays nice with at least:
Ubuntu
Fedora
Puppy Linux
Although I didn't bother with the 64-bit versions of those because I'm not keen on dealing with drivers for my custom build.

If you're reading this review for educational purposes or considering buying, I would recommend it not only because it's probably (even) cheap(er), but also because if all of these reviews can tell you anything, it's that this processor probably has one of the highest 5-star rating ratios of most processors here on Newegg.

If newegg ever sells more of this on some clearance or something, DEFINITELY PICK ONE UP.
