5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding products

Pros: Unlocked 4 cores with 6MB L3 Cache. Manual overclocked up to 3.4Ghz with default cooling. Bought it at $61, cheap and speedy. Price to performance ratio is great

Cons: CPU got overheat one time, automatically shutdown the system. I took the heatsink out, but it stuck with the heatsink, end up with a broken pin. Luckily, it is still working and overclockable.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat cpu for price

Pros: *runs cool( overclocked to 3.4ghz and stays under 45c)
*Cheap, got on sale for 60.00
*unlockable 4th core and cache

Cons: *Runs hot under heavy gaming(hit 57c playing fallout 3 for 3 hours.)
*Heatsink's fan is loud
*low cache

Other Thoughts: I like the rana, although i couldn't unlock the 4th core or cache, it turned out to be a dependable cpu.

5 out of 5 eggsDont buy if looking for 4th core

Pros: It works, I notice a huge difference in performance compared to other processors ive had.

Cons: No stable 4th core, but not worth loosing an egg for.

Other Thoughts: This comes as a triple core, if you are expecting a 4th core shell out like $15 extra dollars for a quad core, not worth taking the risk of no 4th core or an unstable one.

5 out of 5 eggsUnlock and Overclock!

Pros: This thing screams man! I'm used to dual cores with lower clock speeds and such but after using this I knew what a real computer felt like. As if it wasn't fast enough though I unlocked the fourth core (which is completely stable, I think I got one of the units with the purposely locked core just to meet marketing demand. Not because it was defective) after unlocking it I overclocked it and have it stable at 3.1 Ghz. Scared to push it further read below to see why...

Cons: After unlocking the fourth core I noticed none of my temperature programs would monitor my core temp so I have no idea how hot it's getting but the rest of my system is pretty cold (35-40 degrees C idle about 50-65 under load) so it's not a huge deal. But it concerns me, maybe I broke the sensor.
But of course this is all my fault, your not supposed to unlock or overclock. Can't blame a processor for my errors.

Other Thoughts: Other than that it runs fine. Got it running on the stock cooler and it's still giving me this kinda proformance and it's cold. So yeah I have no justifiable complaints.

Buy this processor you will be impressed with stock performance. But unlock it and overclock it, my 3d mark vantage score for cpu jumped 3000 points man!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat bang for the buck

Pros: My chip didn't unlock 4th core, but no complaints. OC'ed to 3.4 GHz just by upping the bus speed (and dropping the HT). Using Nero to transcode and burn an .avi, my times are around 23 minutes per project. Used to take 50 minutes on an AMD 7550 dual 2.5 GHz.

Cons: None. Can't count the missing 4th core since I only payed for 3 anyway.
