4 out of 5 eggs2010 Higher Mid Level Processor

Pros: I bought this in 2011 as part of a personal desktop build. I wanted a processor that was stable, fast, and priced right. Mine was $125 at the time. I bought a better CPU cooler at the same time. I put it in a Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H mobo, with 8Gbs of RAM, and a AMD Radeon HD 6670 video card and put everything in a Cooler Master eLite Case. I've been running Windows7 off a 60Gb OCZ SSD, and everything else goes into a Western Digital Blue 1Tb HHD. I wanted a fast processor for Video Editing, and this one works great. I don't play games on it, but I'm sure it would play them at mid-level.

Cons: None so far, they worked fine for 2 years.

Other Thoughts: I'm happy, this was my first AMD build and it went fine. I would use AMD again.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Great Today

Pros: This processor is wonderful. If you are building today and have a compatible motherboard...go for it....Its a wonderful processor. Get some good solid GSkill or Patriot memory and max it out and I dont know how you can beat it with anything else out there!!!! Its a great chip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful!!!

Cons: Dont tell anyone, but I ordered and am using a artic cool sync, and it is just stupid good. The factory one looks okay though, if you want to use it, I dont see a problem with it...looks like they did a good job, its a good size, but I am an artic fan!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible for a goos price

Pros: For such a low priced CPU, I didn't expect it to run much. However, this is one of my favorite AMD products. I was on a very tight budget and this was right inside the price range. Even though it's a cheaper model, if you have a decent GPU you can run about anything you throw at it. I'm able to run ARMA 2, Starcraft 2, and Empires Total War at max settings and only about 20% to 40% CPU usage

Cons: Not the fastest CPU ever, it can keep pace for a while but load times are sometimes tedious. If you have the extra money go for an Intel i5.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat bang for the buck

Pros: Upgraded from a Phenom IIx2; performance is (sic) more than doubled. This CPU may be aged, but it performs well for games and coding.

Cons: Still have to lightning type...can't it just think for me too?

Other Thoughts: Used an after-market cooler (CoolerMaster) to OC; got it to 4.0 without breaking a sweat.

4 out of 5 eggsphenon2x4965be

Pros: compatibility, fast, quiet fan and heat sink that comes with it.price wasn't bad either.

Cons: nothing that I can tell as of far, does everything It should .

Other Thoughts: I read so many reviews stating that this cpu wouldn't be compatible with my hpe 112y aloe motherboard, well it was a smooth installation,I also only had bios version 5.05 I believe,I'm still checking to see if I should update to the newest version or not,psu should be upgraded to at least 600-650w.There we're also many comments that were of much help, so thanks to all who knew what they we're talking about.
