Amazing!
- Pros: Speed, Multi-tasks like crazy, Vista Ready
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: For all you writing 512kb L2 cache as a con, AMD is making that their standard for now. So don't give it a worse rating because of that. And even with a 512kb L2 cache, this thing is AMAZINGLY fast. OC's well too.
Dual core Do more
- Pros: Blazing fast 2 X 2.4Ghz Awwww...Yessss. Socket AM2 dropped right into my foxconn 590SLI board with no force (Like it should) Plays all games with not so much as a pause.
- Cons: Cant think of any other than the 2 X 512Kb L2 Cache rather than the 2 X 1Mb Cache but like others have said this is AMD's new standard for lower end CPUs
- Other Thoughts: Rig- Foxconn C51WEM2AA 590 SLI board, 2 Gigs of Corssair DDR2 675 C4 Ram, This CPU, a Nspire 600 Watt PSU, and 2 X XFX 7950GTs in SLI all in a NZXT Apollo Case.......Im in heaven

amd perfection
- Pros: great value, great price vs. performance
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: why mess with intel??? if intel wins and amd goes out of business, you can expect intel cpus to go up in price about 100%, dont believe me?? do you want to risk the chance that i may be right?
Fast and cool
- Pros: I've bought a few of these, paired up with a MSI MBOX K9VGM-V and other barebones. The performance is excellent.
- Cons: None.
Unbelievable
- Pros: Unbelievable, I have never had a CPU that was so durable. I managed to pull this bad boy out with the Heat sink, as I am sure all of you have done at least once. My little bro knocked the heat sink (CPU still attached) off the table right on the CPU. Bent about 30-40 pins.... sad face... I bent the pins back and reinstalled, with a new heat sink. Runs just as good as ever, didnt loose any speed. LOVE THIS PROCESSOR
- Cons: none at all... well it used to run a little hot (before the new heat sink), but what AMD doesnt....
- Other Thoughts: In a gaming comp with 4 Gb ram, 512 graphics, all the fun stuff. Runs everything, love this little processor. I have built around 10 comps all running AMD, never had one fail!

Highlights
 |
AMD64 Dual-core Technology AMD64 is designed to enable simultaneous 32- and 64-bit computing with no degradation in performance. With dual-core technology there are two complete processor cores in one physical package running at the same frequency to deliver TRUE multi-tasking power, allowing users to switch from one program to another without pausing for the computer to catch up and reducing annoying processing pauses.
|
 |
HyperTransport Technology HyperTransport Technology (HT or HTT) is a high-speed, low latency and point-to-point link designed to increase communication speeds between integrated circuits in computers, servers, embedded systems and networking and telecommunications equipment. The Athlon 64 X2 4600+ AM2 processor is equipped with HT technology to enable a system bus speed of up to 2000MHz, delivering a maximum of 8GB/s I/O bandwidth.
|
 |
AMD Virtualization Virtualization on desktop computers allows a single PC to act like multiple virtual machines. AMD Virtualization can enable client computers to seamlessly support multiple operating environments. And it also helps make it easier for PC enthusiasts to upgrade and maintain their PCs through emulation.
