5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great, took it out of the box, dropped it in and booted up. No problems so far.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Dell Dimension E521, I use for playing World of Warcraft and browsing the net. This cpu bumped my fps up by 10fps. I would recommend this cpu for light to maybe moderate gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsGood CPU for the price

Pros: This is a great CPU. It's fast, and I overclock mine to 6000+ speeds.

Cons: none really.

Other Thoughts: I have heard that AMD's are not good overclockers, but this is fast enough as it is.

5 out of 5 eggsNewegg is eggcellent

Pros: It works, it's fast, I don't have a high technical understanding; AMD tech support says any AM2 socket MB will run any AM2 CPU so.... see other

Cons: Yeah right!!! I may have a power supply problem In the future.

Other Thoughts: I'm just some fool who likes tinkering with things, After building my first computer from scratch using out of production parts. (AMD 754) I installed this chip in a DELL E521, xp mce that I bought from the outlet. I destroyed my warranty but, "who cares" I could not have built this machine for what I have in this one. 3G RAM... Yes I know I'm very limited in the bios but, that's right "who cares"

5 out of 5 eggsNice little processor

Pros: Fast processor for the price. No problems with setup and running of higher power floating point calcs. Useful for a lower end mid-level workstation.

Cons: Not as fast as Intel's offerings...with the cost caveat.

Other Thoughts: A good buy for someone who wants to get work done, but is not in need for a burning fast CPU. That actually could describe ~70% of computer users, IMHO, including "build-your own" types.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor

Pros: Incredibly fast, great price

Cons: Sure it's not as fast as the Intel proc of equal speed but Intel's proc is twice the price.

Other Thoughts: If you have lots of money, go with Intel but if you want to save a alot money and take a minor performance hit go with AMD

5 out of 5 eggsCache

Pros: It's a good solid processor that does what you need it to do and will last you for a while.

Cons: Intel's comparable CPU's are faster at this current time.

Other Thoughts: I saw one reviewer speaking about cache. My advice is not to unless you know what you're talking about. Intel uses a different implementation of cache than AMD. The reason Intel has a larger cache is because the contents are duplicated in both caches. So you're really only limited to one cache. AMD's implementation is that the data is in either the L1 or L2, but if it's in L2, then it has to do the work to switch it to L1. This is a /very/ basic explanation and I would recommend you brush up on your reading to get more information about it.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is SICK!

Pros: This thing is nasty. 37 idle/42 under FULL LOAD! Havnt seen this thing get above 42. Best CPU Ive ever owned... but what else do you expect.

Cons: Didn't like the look of the cooling fan that came with it... doesnt matter though because im smart enough to buy a better one anyway.

Other Thoughts: Asus M2N-SLI
8800 GTS OC
4GIG OCZ RAM
