Cheap and Fast, easy overclock
- Pros: Perfect processor for the price, and even better than that. Overclocked to 2.8Ghz easy with no voltage increase, on stock hsf. FSB 266, multy - 10.5 ; Memory DDR2-800 runs at 400Mhz as it should be. Temps well below 50C, idle 35, load 45.
- Cons: Would like bigger fan on heatsink, but it's not loud, so It's cool, in both ways
- Other Thoughts: I love it. Used A-Data memory and cheap ASRock mobo.
A rocket !!
- Pros: Great new Overclocker from AMD !! Took it right to 2.8 on default vcore .. Paired up with the Biostar TForce 550 .. Incredible price/performance value...
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: Looking forward to getting it to the 3g + Range with some tweaking .. HSF that comes with it shouldn't be a problem at default vcore, but if you are going to run it up, you might think about an HSF upgrade..

easy
- Pros: easy oc
~2.6-2.8 easy @ stock (takes a while) bumped voltage a little can hit just under 3.1 stable anything higer starts to get messy. keep it at 2.9 for lower heat footprint allows me to lower the voltage a little
- Cons: non for this price
- Other Thoughts: tforce 550 se
2x1gb Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 @ 500mhz 5-5-5-18 AC 64Pro strangely enough i couldent hit 3ghz w/o 10.5 (default) multiplier which is usuially a no no 24º idle // < 60º load

- Pros: Fast, runs cool. Dual core
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Works like a charm!
awesome processor !
- Pros: Fast as hell. Did not overcolck at this point, but can not wait to overclock this monster ! My curent CPU temp 23C and pretty sure will not get too hot after overclocking. Paired up with BIOSTAR MOBO that can support 8BG of ram. 2GB is my current memory and will maximize and this SYSTEM will be a MONSTER !!!!!
- Cons: NONE ! BUY IT !!!

Highlights
 |
AMD64 Dual-core Technology AMD64 is designed to enable simultaneous 32- and 64-bit computing with no degradation in performance. With dual-core technology there are two complete processor cores in one physical package running at the same frequency to deliver TRUE multi-tasking power, allowing users to switch from one program to another without pausing for the computer to catch up and reducing annoying processing pauses.
|
 |
HyperTransport Technology HyperTransport Technology (HT or HTT) is a high-speed, low latency and point-to-point link designed to increase communication speeds between integrated circuits in computers, servers, embedded systems and networking and telecommunications equipment. HyperTransport Technology in the Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Socket AM2 processor enables the speed of system bus up to 2000MHz and delivers up to 8GB/s I/O bandwidth and up to 20.8GB/s processor-to-system bandwidth.
|
 |
Enhanced Virus Protection All AMD processors equipped with AMD64 technology are Enhanced Virus Protection-enabled. Enhanced virus protection acts as a preventative measure causing viruses to be localized, short-lived, and non-contagious, eventually being flushed from system memory.
|
 |
CNQ: Cool'n'Quiet Technology AMD's Cool'n'Quiet technology is an innovative solution available on AMD Athlon 64 processor-based systems that can effectively lower power consumption and enable a quieter-running system while delivering performance-on-demand.
