5 out of 5 eggsReally like

Pros: 2 more core than previous cpu, had athalon II 250, same speed. Bought 2 to make computers for my kids to play games against each other on home net work.

Cons: Not a 6 core :(

Other Thoughts: Currently only running 1, building new comp for myself so can give both to my kids. Currently running Msi870-g45, 8 gb PNY DDR3 1333, Evga gtx 460

5 out of 5 eggsHighly recomend

Pros: wow where to start first runs cool and steady all the time
when overclocking i put it to 3.4 ghz and my motherboard didnt have enough power to support the speed.
i clocked it back down and it works fine at 3.1 ghz.
being a 95W processor it draws low power and this creates low heat and allows it to run on old AM2 mobos like mine.

Cons: stock fan is ok but i would recomend an upgrade if you want to overclock

Other Thoughts: i am using a zalman cooler
intel will always have faster cpu's you get what you pay for a $1000 processor from intel will run like a $1000 processor. amd gives us close to performance for a fraction of the cost. therefore amd gets my dollar.
this is about like the speed of an i5
WEI of 7.3
my brothers i7 2ghz gets a WEI of 7.4 for $100 more than this your decision do you have that much money?

5 out of 5 eggsbest processor i have ever used

Pros: fast, reliable, and inexpensive
an epic win for amd

Cons: not a eight core

Other Thoughts: if you are looking for a inexpensive cpu but can't afford an fx eight core then i highly recommend a phenom 2 Quad or six core processor

5 out of 5 eggsSolid CPU

Pros: Plug an Play.
Gave it as a gift to my girlfriend and it is awesome.
Its fast and the temp is good
Overclocks easy if you have a good board
95W is very nice
Good price

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Good for a first time build or a gaming rig.
If your thinking about buying it just go for it is a good bang for the buck

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE IT

Pros: L3 caching; price; can clock good; amazing for what you're paying. It's not an i7, but hell for the price you're paying, it's top of the line.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Buy this. Now.

1 out of 5 eggsUsed CPU in retail box

Pros: This is a fine CPU. My son has one in his computer. It handles the games he plays and runs cool.

Cons: I have purchased two of these from newegg in the retail boxes and found bent pins on one, and stains and crud on top of both of them. This CPU has been around for more than a year. I suspect that some people have upgraded their computers, reboxed their old CPUs, and resold them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy for the money

Pros: Great speed, low wattage, runs cool. Runs great overclocked quite a noticeable difference overall. Also with my custom air cooled set up I only saw a 1 degree C jump from stock 3.0 ghz to 3.6 ghz.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from an AM2 6400+ when bf3 came out knowing it along with my 5770 would not support bf3. This cpu has breathed more life into my system. I can breeze through bf3 at stock clocks or with the phenom oc'd to 3.6 with my 5770 and have even looked over upgrading my video card as there is no need.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat low budget CPU

Pros: This processor rocks for a 95W CPU. Keeps up with my gaming, video projects, and any other tasks i through at it. If you are building on a budget and need a cpu that will do the work you need, you need not look no further you have found it.

Cons: Not a huge fan of the new compound patches, just buy some regular compound and use that.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid performance

Pros: - quad core
- price
- wattage

Cons: - cheap heatsink/fan

Other Thoughts: I'm pleased with the solid performance from this quad core processor. Priced well. I wouldn't go any higher, but where it sits between the 830 and the 955 is just about right. Regret getting the Boxed version as I would have been better off getting the OEM and buying a better heatsink/fan, but Newegg doesn't have the OEM and I prefer Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm biased

Pros: acceptable overclock
stable
good performance
good price
only 95W TDP

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I've been running AMD processors for a long, long time and although Intel's i-Series look impressive, I stuck with AMD. This process has not disappointed for the money spent I'm very happy. Stuck it on a BioStar TA870U3 and did a very basic overclock and gained 450MHz - rock solid day and night.
