5 out of 5 eggsPhenom II X2 555

Pros: Fast like a diesel engine with turbo!
Get's everything done!
Owned for over 2 years with no problems!

Cons: Runs a little on the warmish end, but fixed with aftermarket CPU cooler!

Other Thoughts: This has been a roller-coaster ride of success with this CPU.
Even while encoding videos it still keeps on chugging and getting my work done!
This one unlocks just fine without issues, but 2 extra cores I did not need all the time with it so I defaulted it in BIOS back to 2 cores.
As with all AMD CPUs (In my experience) the better the airflow in your case the better the AMD system will run!
My system this is in does not have ideal airflow and I didn't need the extra cores, so I locked them. It's still a GREAT performing system without the extra cores! Gotta do what you gotta do. I'm a happy camper and love my AMD PC!

5 out of 5 eggsOne of the best processors.

Pros: I've had this CPU for more than 4 years, and I have not had a single issue with it. It runs smooth, everything runs great. One of the best processors you could ask for.

Cons: Slight overheating, fixed that with a new heatsink though.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU!

Pros: I got this processor November 2010 and it is still running great. Unlocked the other two cores and that makes a huge difference. A couple of weeks ago I was doing some video editing and it was taking a lot longer, I looked and it was only seeing two cores so I had to quickly reboot to get those other two back on. Much faster.

Runs all the games I have with no issue.

Cons: Nada

Other Thoughts: Always been a AMD guy on my personal machines and this CPU just helps solidify my thoughts on AMD.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for price

Pros: -Cheap
-Unlocked 1 more core
-Auto overclocked 3 cores to 3.8
-still running cool

Cons: -Isn't as powerful as a $200 processor

Other Thoughts: Great mid-range processor. Could build a machine running this processor that can run every game at under $300 today

5 out of 5 eggsA True Workhorse

Pros: I was able to OC easy and it remains pretty cool. Runs everything I throw at it and just keeps humming.

Cons: Still using stock fan (H/S). I could OC it more if I had a better H/S. I keep it at 3.4 but have taken it to 3.6 for testing (runs stabile but gets warm under a heavy load).
Tried to open it to 4 cores with no luck.

5 out of 5 eggsQuad core for a cheap

Pros: Put it in Gigabyte 780MB, set ACC to auto and EC firmware to Hybrid. Then this one is changed to B55. Its performance is between 965 and 955.

Cons: Nothing, AMD is better in terms of price/performance ration.
