5 out of 5 eggsDoes what I need it to do

Pros: Solid performer, I use it for my VM workstation. I am probably going to consign it to HTPC duty once it get the i7-3770 Ivy Bridge CPU. No need to throw away a perfectly fine desktop.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsgreat

Pros: bought this almost 2 years ago and was an awsome processor for the price, still an amazing processor and wouldnt trade it for anything, no issues or problems yet, sad that its not available anymore but can always get the 1095 so...*shrug* i overclocked it for a bit but found that stock was just fine, threw on a Noctua NH-D14 to keep it cool and quiet.

Cons: none at all, amazing processor, no bad cores no problems 2 years on.

5 out of 5 eggsDated, but it had a nice run...

Pros: -6 cores
-Can easily overclock
-Nice price for performance as usual with most AMD chips

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: It's been lapped by now (bought it 2 years ago) but at the time it was a steal to get 6 cores for less than $200. I only overclocked it to see what I could get out of it and it remained stable and cool with air cooling when at about 3.2GHz.

I've since just ran it at stock since it's more than enough for the uses I have (Virtual Machines, encoding, and moderate gaming).

Great value for your dollar as usual AMD. Hopefully you get Bulldozer on the same track as the Phenoms because this chip was a great farewell.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING

Pros: Very fast, High quality, It's just all around amazing

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I have only had one minor problem with it. I checked Speedfan one time and it said one of my cores was working at 100% load, even though my computer was idle. A quick restart and it was fine. And honestly, its so quick, you would never notice a core being used at 100% capacity.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -

Cons: Stock fan isn't bad, but could be better. You might need a better one if you plan to overclock.

5 out of 5 eggspower howes

Pros: this 6core is nice. I fold on it at 80% cpu time 24/7 and also download and play game like skyrim, all at the same time.

Cons: say it has 6MB L3 cash, but BIOS and win7 will not use it or see it. did all the update for BIOS/windows and setting but still no luck.

Other Thoughts: why are there so mini people that say there tech level is high. i know a lot about hardware, dos, mac, linux, windows, some os2 and networking. but im no IT Professional, keep it real.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cheapest 6 core and one of the best

Pros: Very great cpu outta the box...6 cores=plenty
It oc/ed pretty well to 3.5ghz but begins to hang for me at 3.7 but u really dont even need to overclock this unless doing some really intense 3d moddeling or multitasking

Cons: The hanging at 3.7ghz isnt enough to remove an egg...so nope none here

Other Thoughts: Stay strong AMD you can catch up just dont keep trying new and faulty ideas stay with what you know best.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: This is a great cpu, fast and cheap. Its the same cpu as the 1090/1100t (just not factory clocked as high). Since it is not unlocked like them though, you need to be able to overclock through the motherboard. I havent done it though since its more then fast enough out of the box. Im using it for gaming (assassins creed rev., dirt 3), 3d modeling (maya) and photoshop work for school.

Cons: The stock fan is very loud. I switched it (but kept the heatsink) with my last AMD fan which is nice and quiet; yes you can buy quieter ones but with the noise pollution in the room the computer is in (tv, people and other assortments of noise) it doesnt matter.

Other Thoughts: If you have an AM2+ or AM3 board, this is a good upgrade for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsAMD Bang for your Buck

Pros: This is a great processor. I have it on a ASUS Sabertooth 990FX (great board btw) with 16GB ripjaw series RAM. I ran 2 MMO's (Lord Of the Rings Online and Aion a much more graphic intensive MMO then LOTRO) as well as a few other smaller programs using the mobo utilities for checking temps it never got above 47C (may be partly due to the giant 230mm case fans. COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced)

Cons: The only con I can think of is that this processor was deactivated and then reactivated (which is when I bought it fast) and is now deactivated again. This is a great processor and the cheapest 6 core I could find.

Other Thoughts: If you want one good luck finding one. may have to go somewhere other then newegg as they probably wont reactivate it.
