5 out of 5 eggsBetter then 6400+

Pros: This CPU works great, I can now play Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Metro 2033 on high settings and only use about 1/2 of each core. Before with my 6400+, the cpu would stay maxed on medium settings.

Cons: No heat sink

Other Thoughts: I ordered two of these. One for my Asus Crosshair and the other for my Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe. Both work great. Just had to update the BIOS in them and all went smooth.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast mode

Pros: Very fast but also much hotter than my 1.9 dual core processor. Very pleased.

Cons: Not the processors fault, I should have gotten a higher watt power supply 450 is not enough

Other Thoughts: Not the processors fault, I should have gotten a higher watt power supply 450w is not enough to run this cpu with 4 1 gig ram chips, two hard drives, a 8800gts and dvd burner.

5 out of 5 eggsbest deal ATM

Pros: This is a 3GHz Quad for $75ish---w/o even adding voltage. Can't beat the price for this kind of performance. This proc along with the 9850s are both great Bang-Fo-Buck atm. Get'em while they last at this price.

Cons: It has to be OC'd to course of get the 3GHz.

They will run hot if not properly cooled. It drinks 125w of juice.

Other Thoughts: I just bought 4 of these @ the current $75ish price. I have 5 785G boards that can easily handle this proc.

You can easily get it to 3GHz by just increasing the Multi to 15.

-However, I personally like to use DDR2-1000 (or faster) RAM for this type of job so that I drop the multi on the CPU to *12* & up the FSB to *250*

-Set the RAM timings & voltage & presto. I'd suggest using *G-Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ* Although any DDR2 rated @ 1000MHz or faster should work w/o any issue.
