4 out of 5 eggsStable performance

Pros: Good, cheap dual core processor. Runs well with no real issues.

Cons: Discontinued? It is out of date but would be a great addition to a budget computer

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: -Cheap
-Easy to over clock

Cons: -Only 2 cores
-Discontinued?

Other Thoughts: I've had my 250 for about a year. With a Biostar mobo I hit 3.72Ghz (fully stable). I switched to a cheap MSI board and was only able to hit 3.66Ghz (fully stable) after dialing back the RAM settings and using a water cooler. So, a full year at 3.66Ghz. It's been able to handle everything I've thrown at it, but some of the newer games optimized for 2 or more cores are starting to tax it a bit, (Black Ops 2 MP is really hard on it for some reason, but a RAM stick was near death so it might of been the reason) so I'll be upgrading to a new FX chip soon. If you want an inexpensive chip for day to day or middle of the road gaming, go for it. It also runs fairly cool, even under load.

5 out of 5 eggsNot too bad, low power

Pros: Gets the job done, was pretty cheap and it doesn't take a lot of power

Cons: only dual core, but it's cheap

Other Thoughts: I put this in a super cheap gaming rig and it works fine, the only part that didn't work so well in it was the 12 year old PATA drive

5 out of 5 eggsIn-Laws New Toy

Pros: Installed easily on a MSI NF725GM-P31 MoBo with 4Gigs of G.Skill Ripjaws ram. Very fast a stock speeds and low temps. No need to OC for the the In-Laws usage.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Built new setup for the In-Laws: MSI NF725GM-P31 MoBo; this CPU; 4Gigs G.Skill Ripjaws ram; WD Caviar Black WD5002AALX 500GB; SAMSUNG CD/DVD Burner; Windows 7 Home Premium, all in a Thermal Master case designed by Cool Master. For a basic build this CPU does the job well. The In-Laws old setup was 10+ years old, so you can imagine the speed difference they are experiencing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood basic CPU

Pros: This is a good CPU for someones first build or a "low budget" computer. It runs Windows 7 really well and some games too but no need to even thinking of squeezing more performance out of it than it has :/
I hit the roof at 3.25GHz and everything after that was just unstable or didn't work at all.

Cons: Really not good for overclocking! Only has two cores aka it can't be unleashed/unlocked.
