5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU for the price

Pros: I purchased this for a computer build that the customer is going to use for word proccessing and internet access only. Does that and more. Didn't have a game to test it with or anything but the benchmark ratings were good.

Cons: Not going to handle high end things, but it's worth a try, there's a lot more 'cpu' here than you would expect.

Other Thoughts: 6.4 in Windows 7 Performance Test

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Been using AMD processors exclusively since the 90's and will continue doing so untill either I die or AMD fades away. It just works.. needed a basic processor for a budget NAS for a client and this processor fit the requirements perfectly. box will never play games, play videos, or even run a VM, don't need a high end uber fast, super duper neato massive speedy multiple core CPU.
All this will be doing is serving up some files in a small SOHO and running a small sql database. been in service about a week now and the client is happy. Much faster then their dual CPU antiquated XEON, dying poweredge they had.

Cons: it didn't make my coffee this AM

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great.

Pros: 65w tdp, 45nm which is a huge step up from amd's 65nm tech and enough cache for the time being. BE sure you lower the voltage on this to 1.3 (even lower) as most motherboards will volt it at 1.37 and it doesn't need that much juice, believe me. I had a 92mm artic cooler box fan laying around that I put on this thing and it keeps it cool.

Cons: None, I paid hardly anything for this when it comes to cpu pricing!

Other Thoughts: People need to first understand "for what" are you building a computer to do for you. Gaming? Student app's? Web surfing and youtube/netflix? Build for what's needed, but always allow for upgrades. This went on an Asrock mobo that takes am2+, am3 and am3+ cpu's. The person only needs it for college and doesn't care if it can game. It needed to surf the web and do videos and come with microsoft student word etc. This cpu coupled with a WD RE 250gig drive does very well for her. The plus side is it's completely upgradeable as long as the mobo holds out. It only has a lil 5570 ati card in it, but that is a very capable card still for what she needs it for, upgrade options........6670 before they run out, because the 7750 is to much. Cpu? Upgrade options are FX if she wants to move up to windows 8 or even 7 with bug fixes. I didn't over build it for her and I spent less then 375 and that included a monitor and key board. With prices like 50 for this cpu and refurb hdd, It's easy to build.

5 out of 5 eggsgood cpu

Pros: low priced , and low power,

Cons: no cons for the cpu it works great. cpu was packaged in a plastic clear case with pink foam on the side with the pins, had strands of this pink foam stuck in the pins, was kinda tough getting this stuff out of the pins,

Other Thoughts: cant really complain no bent pins cpu works great. this is my 4th computer build with parts from newegg and so far no bad parts.

5 out of 5 eggsIt Processes

Pros: It did speed up the system, a nice extra kick.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This was for a friends computer. She was talked into it by another person. I tried to talk her out of it. She is running a sweet system (I built it with all parts bought on Newegg) She has 4GB RAM and had a sweet fast AMD single core. Someone talked her into a dual core, so i got it and installed it. Thing is, she does NOTHING that will take advantage of the dual cores. She browsers the Internet, uses Office 2010 and QB 2012. That's it. None of those apps use dual core processing. So I ran the numbers, IF she has Office 2010, QB 2012 and several applications open at the same time she will increase her overall production time by 1.7%.
But if she ever gets into gaming or video editing she can do it.

5 out of 5 eggsgood cpu

Pros: nice stable gets the job done. havent tried OCing it yet.
gets 6.5 WEI rating at stock. stays cool registers as 60w tdp in cpuz instead of 65w not sure why that is.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: with this and my other parts
get good WEI scores
cpu 6.5
ram team elite 2x4gb 7.2
video visiontek HD 4670 6.7 for graphics/desktop
