I unlocked the 4th core and even then I was able to over clock it to 4.0 GHz stable (Very risky). I pared this CPU up with a HD 6770 and I was able to play BF3 on High settings with playable frame rates. Good for entry level gaming, media and web browsing. Did you find this review helpful? Plenty fast for everything except intense gaming. Cons: Weak stock cooler. Other Thoughts: Served me well for the past two years. Decided to retire it and upgrade to an i5 3570K... Oc'd to 3.6ghz, It was easy. It never had overheating problems. Lowest temps i ever recorded were 10c Which is AMAZING. Cons: I have realized for the past 6 months it has been lacking substantially. Games like Far cry 3, Assassins creed 3, PlanetSide 2, and in some cases, even Diablo 3, have a higher potential then this processor. Other Thoughts: 6870 over kills this processor. 3570k here i come :) Im sorry AMD Im done for now. I dont want keep messing with my computer to make it work better.
