4 out of 5 eggsDon't rely on being able to unlock all the cores

Pros: I got what I paid for.

Cons: Often CPUs are made for 4 cores but sold as having 2, or 3, because one or two of those cores did not pass QC. The one I got is one of those CPUs. I cannot run more than 2 cores without locking up.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mid-Range Gaming Processor!

Pros: -This beast is basically a quad-core with no doubt* I have previously bought 3 of the Phenom II x2 555 and all of them were able to successfully UNLOCK.
-The Phenom II x2 565 as a dual core compared to the Intel i3-2100 it would lose in performance overall, but with it unlocked there is no better price for performance (knowing that this CPU has extreme overclocking abilities)
-If you cant afford the Intel i5 then this is what you should be looking at.

Cons: I was going to buy the Phenom II x2 555 for the fourth time for the price of 89.99, but they stop selling them... and had this. I would love to save a couple bucks because I was planning to overclock anyways...

Other Thoughts: Nothing bad about it but for the price, nothing comes close to what this baby can do. By the way DO NOT plan on getting the Phenom II x4. Buy this and save $50 dollars. About same performance compared to the price difference. No brainer.....

5 out of 5 eggsAmd pennom II 565 x 2 Calisto 3.4ghz

Pros: It is Fast . 6mb cache. high stock clock speed.Great overclock and unlock potential. Price.

Cons: none. this cpu is out dated .

Other Thoughts: I am very happy so far with this cpu it is fast enough for gaming . I bought this cpu along with AsRock 770DE+ mb with a Coolmaster 101 cpu fan . I was able to use my spare ddr2 pc800 gigs of G-skill low profile ram and i was unlocked to a quad core cpu running at 3.658 mghz with a slight voltage bump from 1.4 to 1.4250 . was able to hit 4ghz but backed down good to go so far and the shipping was great comming from newegg to Alaska. nice cpu for 1 c note.buy.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat little processor

Pros: installed in build that i just got around doing and man what a breeze. everything went as planned. no hiccups at all. booted first time. had some issues with windows but not the processor. i generally play pc games like grand theft auto iii, vice city, you know old stuff. i always like the old stuff. i have work on electronic comlponets for the company's that i worked for so this was no problem for me to build this computer. my rig is sentey averino case, asrock 880 motherboard, 8 gig of 1600 speed ram and with that i was able to unlock all cores. great product. will buy again for my son's build.

Cons: non to mention

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: + Amazing price/performance ratio
+ Overclocked to 4GHz
+ Unlocked all 4 cores

Cons: - Default CPU cooler is a bit noisy

Other Thoughts: Using M4N98TD EVO motherboard and Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus cooler I was easily able to unlock all 4 cores and overclock them to 4.2GHz. With these settings it is recommended that one replaces the default cpu cooler (which runs a bit noisy) with a better cooler such as Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate on noisy fan (chainsaw)

Pros: Fan was noisy but I did not want to waste the time to return the entire cpu/heatsink and fan to the egg for an RMA so I contacted AMD, they were really good about sending me a new heatsink with a new fan. I had a used fan that I could use temporarily until AMD sent me a new one. AMD also covered the ship cost both ways for the noisy fan

Cons: No real cons except I wish I could've got just a new fan RMA'd from newegg

Other Thoughts: Giving this 5 eggs because AMD really came through for me on this

5 out of 5 eggsCore Unlocker

Pros: Fast CPU. Good L3 Cache. Dual-Core. Good for home/office and multimedia use. Using an Asus MOBO and Core Unlocker, it can register as an x4 class processor at over 3.4Ghz

Cons: Doesn't make me breakfast....

Other Thoughts: 8GB DDR3 1600 really sets this processor free.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat bang for the buck!!!!

Pros: Changed 2 things in BIOS. Unlock cores and run optimized. Now running at 3.88ghz X 4. Very stable. Runs very fast. Almost as fast as my X6 cores on single applications.

Cons: Heatsink is garbage. It will work for non OC. Temp non OC was 40c and OC to 3.88 cruising at about 45c. I used my old stock fan and heatsink for my X6 cpu and now temp cruises at about 37c on OC. Not taking an egg since I always assume that fan that will come is garbage.

Other Thoughts: I'm not even getting started in tweaking it and already it surpassed my expectations. Specially since I purchased the CPU and MSi 870-G45 MOBO combo for less than $120. Dammn good deal to performance ratio.

4 out of 5 eggsNoisy fan (chainsaw)

Pros: great chip, goes to x4 with no problems

Cons: The fan sounds like a mini chainsaw inside this case. It doesn't even have an AMD logo? but states the manufacture as a Foxconn fan. Can't do anything with this irritating whine

Other Thoughts: I'd call in for an RMA but I do not want to wait a week or more for a new cpu/ heatsink. I would RMA if I could just send in the fan
