5 out of 5 eggsexcellent little chip

Pros: for the low price, this chip runs quite well. ive been running it for almost 3 years now, and its a perfect match for a 550ti or anything around that level, as neither will be much stronger than the other. its decent for gaming, provided you stick to directx/opengl. heat isnt an issue for me up to about 3.3ghz, but much higher and it wont even boot.

Cons: terrible for flash or java. by terrible, i mean you get almost identical performance from an old single core P4. worthless for overclocking. seems to be made to just not work after about 3.4 ghz, because even with more than enough power from the PSU, i cant go past about 3300Mhz without the computer refusing to boot, but not heating up any more than normal.

Other Thoughts: if you can still get this chip, AND find a board for it for under 100$, id go for it. its a cheap and easy fix to having a very old computer, or none. otherwise, stick to current generation things.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -the speed for the price; it may not be the fastest, but it is one of the best deals for how much speed you get from it. (back when it was newer)
-going strong with not a single problem for two years

Cons: -The fan on the heat sink that comes with this cpu gets very loud unlike a certain other brand of cpus. I replaced the heatsink with something larger and quieter.

Other Thoughts: I did test some overclocking, but not much, as the person getting the computer this was going in wanted the cpu speed left alone.

4 out of 5 eggsAMD Phenom II X4 3.2 GHz AM3

Pros: Working very well in my build. I had a bent pin, and straightened it out(was a minor accident, fixed). Does very well. Computer is only been working for about a month now, so I can't tell you if it will last a while or not. We'll see

Cons: There's a lot more other chips out there that are tons faster, for the same price!
