5 out of 5 eggsGreat value to performance ratio

Pros: Fast
Easily overclocked
stable

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I bought this CPU for a new build last year with the intent of overclocking it. After running all my tests, I started to overclock it and wanted to go above 4.0Ghz. I tried to push it to 4.2, but was unstable. After a lot of voltage tweaking, I got a stable overclock at 4.0, which is plenty for my needs. I run it at 4.0 24/7 and have never had a BSOD or any issues with it for almost a year.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing CPU

Pros: Fast ,low power, and easy to overclock
Running very stable at 3.8 GHz with liquid cooling

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I've had this cpu for a long time and runs great. Very low temperatures with liquid cooling setup. I run this cpu at 3.8 GHz most of the time, occasionally I run it at 4 GHz but after a few hours it becomes unstable (may just be the way I overclock)

5 out of 5 eggsStill Great ...

Pros: A great value in the last days of it's existence here @ the egg

Cons: None other than a bit long in the tooth, but not really much of a negative

Other Thoughts: I bought this processor a ways back. It really never ran right on my previous MSI 785GT E63 - likely the the memory mismatch (DDR2 800) - a bit 'asynced'. It's running perfectly now on an MSI 970A-G46 with DDR3 1600 @ 3.9 hgz. Though this processor is a bit older, in games it's actually slightly better than most of the FX series, especially the 4-6 cores, the 8 core FX chips can compete with this one, but don't see my self "upgrading" to ... say an 8120/8150 because it's not really an upgrade gaming wise its barely on PAR with this one lol. This processor is serving me quite well until/if i decide to upgrade to Intel.

5 out of 5 eggsI love AMD

Pros: A ton of bang for the buck. Intel is faster but not worth the extra $$ for the average user.

Cons: NONE.........never have had any complaints about AMD

4 out of 5 eggsIt works with Good Price

Pros: OEM worked right out of the box. Seems to be faster than my Phenom IIx4-940.

Cons: Well, after doing the Win7 performance test my 940 scored higher. I ran the test several times but the score was still lower. I had a 5.9 with my 940 and now my score is 4.1 with this 975.

Other Thoughts: Don't understand the lower performance score because I didn't really change anything, but it seem to run a little faster.

4 out of 5 eggspre-overclocked. :(

Pros: I guess the speed quality of this chip is above par, I upgraded from a Phenom 8450 to a Phenom 2 X4, which is a huge jump. So the speed should've followed.

Cons: After installing it, a couple days later it would start to act glitchy, things wouldn't act correctly. For example, my CPU started to get all pixelated to the point where things are unrecognizable. A fresh reboot usually fixed it, it might have something to do with my GPU though, since I bought the two at the same time. It's stopped doing crazy things after a while, maybe it just needed to warm up? LOL.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this chip is ridiculously speedy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to buy. If you don't get any glitches, I'm happy for you(:
