5 out of 5 eggsAmazing and beautiful!

Pros: Fast, quiet, low power, easy to OC, and is extremely solid.

Cons: Every once and awhile when I'm capping out my computer it will lag, sometimes freeze. But that could be my 12GB of RAM.

Other Thoughts: I've used this in a few builds, and it's been working not only for me. But for them as well, even my family has been using them nearly everyday!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for budget builds

Pros: I used this to make a super low budget $250 in hardware workstation.

At the time of purchase, before FM2 series APU's, quad core + descent integrated graphics made this a best bang for your buck budget part. Multitasks great, super fast for a workplace budget workstation. I have not attempted to use this chip under a 'very heavy workload', for non gaming/video editing however, chip won't break a sweat.

Cons: Because I'm using this APU in an ideal situation, I don't have reason to criticize, but for the sake of an honest review:

-obviously 6550D graphics are useless for any games except angry birds equivalent quality and browser games, but it's still better than Intel's integrated for common tasks requiring some descent video performance. The wattage 100w is ALOT for this chips relatively low-output, making it not ideal and very 'warm' for micro-HTPC and ITX builds.

Other Thoughts: At the time of purchase this was a great deal! With 8gb of ram and other budget hardware I put together a cheap $250 workstation suitable for any worker doing administration in an office setting (just for example). FM2 is so much better than FM1, so at the time your reading this review it's silly to not get a newer FM2 setup, unless your replacing a blown FM1 APU...

5 out of 5 eggsgppd all-round APU

Pros: Fast CPU and GPU combination. Best Bang for the Buck

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Got this with the Biostar MB bundle. Replaced my dad's computer parts after his HP motherboard died. CPU is comparable, but the built in Radeon was a huge step up.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome CPU

Pros: Bought this CPU in a combo around Christmas time last year (2012). I used this for my mother, upgrading her from a Best Buy Compaq Presario Desktop with Win XP and an Athlon 64 single core processor. She see's a huge difference and loves it. I've even toyed around on it to see how it runs and it's surprisingly good.

Cons: None, does everything my mother could ever want to do.

5 out of 5 eggsMonster APU w nice OC capability

Pros: Well bought this to upgrade a HP Slimline series for gaming and after finding video cards that will game decently was around $70-100 and this was on sale for $115 combo deal with a Biostar uATX-perfect upgrade!!! 100w with 4 cores and 400 stream processors with 2.9GHz stock and 300-400Mhz base clock IGP Radeon.
Check other thoughts for cooling and oc results

Cons: HMMM nothing specific but not great if your going to get a mid-level dedicated GPU cause ive seen several cases where someone buys this APU cause of great deal and then a lower GPU like 5400,6400(can crossfire though but not set up), gt 610, 620, or something like that.

Other Thoughts: Ok these OC results not maxed. Just setting up an OC that will get a HIS 6670 1GB GDDR5 Low Profile in a few days. SO will update results after that for oc crossfire results.
Cooling Solution-Amazingly cooled with this slimline direct contact heat pipe cooler for $25 from cooler master(they did it again, a slimline hyper 212).

Running 3.4Ghz w 400 Stream processors at a core clock of 800-850Mhz an temps idling @ 15-25C and 38-48 on gaming loads and prime 95 max temps @ 1.41v and RAM is 1866 10-10-10-30 on1.65v Gskill Ares 2133 11-11-11-33 Down clocked to above spec and have ocing headroom for RAM but Mobo limits it but no biggy BUT
RAM is essential for the IGP cause with 800Mhz core clock and 1866 DDR3 Im gaming SWTOR and War of Roses @ 1600x900 with medium to high depending on how you set it up and maintain FPS above 30 fps average 45 fps easy and 60 is easily obtained with the right drivers and tweeks and if i want I will upgrade PSU to 300-350 and go for 4.0GHZ and 1GHz+ core clock.
We have seen from the 7000 series and 600 series that higher clock speeds with a good amount graphics processors on smaller die yields better results and so this being 32nm die and ATI 32nm GPU series(trinity has 28nm series) and a good cooling solution with this you are able to OC nicely to perform within 5-20% of the newer generation of GPU and mid-level CPUs.
The base clock of 800Mhz on the IGP has given a windows Aero score from 4.7-6.9 and in real life made SWTOR much smoother and fluent game play and made some glitchiness and tearing disappear. So much potential for different way of thinking when OCing for gaming performance cause the CPU and GPU is what determines your gaming capability and this adds a new edge w direct contact heat pipe to push future GPU core to 2Ghz if done right and shrink the die and crank 800-1200 into a new APU and clock to 1100 and you have an entry level APU ready to game full 1080p and all onboard for less than 125w it will happen you will see!!

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING APU

Pros: Very fast and capable APU. The quadcore CPU crushes all my work related tasks (ie outlook, office, web browsing). As far as gaming, it does a good job on playing the games I like. I mainly play lower demanding games like Team Fortress 2.

Cons: The only con I would have is that the stock cooler is lacking, but that is expected. It works very well if you dont plan to over clock, but it is a little bit loud for me.

Other Thoughts: Great budget build for someone that needs to use it for office work and some light gaming. Can also handle programs like Photoshop very well. Would highly recommend this for your next build.
