4 out of 5 eggsOverall, I'm happy.

Pros: Works well. I use this as a media center PC and also play non-graphics-intense games occasionally, and it handles all of that very well. It's a very quick processor.

Cons: FM1 is now obsolete... Amazing how quickly this happens, even with brand new technology.

Other Thoughts: FM1 quickly was replaced by newer technology. Wish I had waited for FM2, though I doubt I'd notice any real difference in performance because I only use this as a media center. I just feel like I missed out on some upgradability. Really, I know better than to be an early adopter, but every once in a while I read about something and get all excited wanting to try it out.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks ok, but not rock soild

Pros: I've owned this chip for about 2 years, I run this in my HTPC. Runs nearly 20 hrs a day, every day.

Cons: Seemed like a good idea to keep a build simple and put the graphic processing in the processor, but I have issues with the graphics being fluid and smooth.

Sometimes when it just sits idea with Media Center running the CPU will spike to nearly 70% on all four processors.

5 out of 5 eggsPacks quite a punch

Pros: Low Cost
Decent Graphic Performance
Low Power Usage

Cons: If you want to play games in 1080p you'll want a dedicated GPU

Other Thoughts: I was building a HTPC in a original Nintendo, I just wanted to be able to play emulated Nintendo, Sega SNES and PSX games and at the last second I switched my build from a i3 to this processor as I had heard good things about the APU's. I was not let down, it plays all of those games and then some, I can play Crysis at 720p at about 45 fps (under stock 2.9ghz), great deal for what you get!

Currently OC'd to 3.3ghz and pretty darn stable (57c under Prime95 torture test) and is very stable! Great for casual gaming/not really caring about maxing out every state

4 out of 5 eggsAPU

Pros: Cheap
Small
Works

Cons: Heatsink is almost worthless (do not change the clock at all until you get a new one)
Not as powerful as a separate CPU-GPU combo, but is less expensive and doesn't use a hardware socket for the GPU

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing and beautiful!

Pros: Fast, quiet, low power, easy to OC, and is extremely solid.

Cons: Every once and awhile when I'm capping out my computer it will lag, sometimes freeze. But that could be my 12GB of RAM.

Other Thoughts: I've used this in a few builds, and it's been working not only for me. But for them as well, even my family has been using them nearly everyday!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for budget builds

Pros: I used this to make a super low budget $250 in hardware workstation.

At the time of purchase, before FM2 series APU's, quad core + descent integrated graphics made this a best bang for your buck budget part. Multitasks great, super fast for a workplace budget workstation. I have not attempted to use this chip under a 'very heavy workload', for non gaming/video editing however, chip won't break a sweat.

Cons: Because I'm using this APU in an ideal situation, I don't have reason to criticize, but for the sake of an honest review:

-obviously 6550D graphics are useless for any games except angry birds equivalent quality and browser games, but it's still better than Intel's integrated for common tasks requiring some descent video performance. The wattage 100w is ALOT for this chips relatively low-output, making it not ideal and very 'warm' for micro-HTPC and ITX builds.

Other Thoughts: At the time of purchase this was a great deal! With 8gb of ram and other budget hardware I put together a cheap $250 workstation suitable for any worker doing administration in an office setting (just for example). FM2 is so much better than FM1, so at the time your reading this review it's silly to not get a newer FM2 setup, unless your replacing a blown FM1 APU...

5 out of 5 eggsgppd all-round APU

Pros: Fast CPU and GPU combination. Best Bang for the Buck

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Got this with the Biostar MB bundle. Replaced my dad's computer parts after his HP motherboard died. CPU is comparable, but the built in Radeon was a huge step up.
