5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value CPU/GPU

Pros: High Performance/Price ratio, great for HD video and low-to-moderate gaming even without discrete VC, Directx11 capable, fan/heatsink stays cool and quiet, overclocks well

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Got this for a budget build, my dad needed a comp for web surfing and light gaming and wanted to spend as little as possible. This price for a CPU and GPU was unbeatable, and plays his favorite games (Civ V, W3) flawlessly and with Directx11. I'd go with Intel + discrete video for intense gaming/future-proofing, but this fits the bill for someone looking for an inexpensive PC capable of playing today's games.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect for very low budget builds

Pros: Great for every day computing and school tasks, no flaws in my eyes

Cons: ...

Other Thoughts: I built a system with this APU for my girlfriend's daughter, she uses it for school and light media such as movies and music as well as some web based gaming, its prefect for that, I tested WoW on it and runs at 37+ FPS on high settings and 43+ FPS on medium, so not bad for a dual core + integrated graphics, I recommend the A-series APUs any day lol

5 out of 5 eggsGreat processor! Great price!

Pros: Great processor for a small computer build. This processor is fast enough to do some basic gaming, and seems very stable. Nice fan/heatsink!

Cons: None. Fan/heatsink works like a champ!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for Low-end Systems

Pros: Installed perfectly in an ASUS F1A75-M FM1 motherboard. Windows 7 64-bit functions very smoothly. The included fan is the smaller "box" stock fan, but even when taxing the APU, the fan was quieter than expected.

This is perfect for a low-end workstation or an HTPC.

Cons: Even though you can pair it up with certain 6000 series GPUs for better performance, I think anyone who wants to do any kind of serious gaming would be better served by a regular CPU and discrete video card.

The included fan is audible. If you are looking to build a truly quiet system, buy a third-party fan.

Other Thoughts: I like the direction AMD is headed with this technology.

5 out of 5 eggsAMD APU A4's

Pros: Works great, even over clocks to 2.8GHz
The A4's have a smaller heat-sink then A6-A8's. This makes them able to be put in most min ITX and micro slims.

Cons: no L3, but thats coming

Other Thoughts: If you cant get the A4 cpu and fan to fit in the very small cases because the PSU is over the top of it...Hint Hint, take the 4 nubs off the fan that suspend it over the heat-sink, that will buy you the room to fit it under :)

5 out of 5 eggshmm....

Pros: Works, if your not playing video games or doing video editing this thing will fit your needs. Perfect if not overkill for someone who wants to get online like my grandma.

Cons: Heat sink is tiny, I'm surprised that the thing runs stable. The heat sink fan produces the only noticeable noise from the computer as far as I can tell.

Other Thoughts: Windows experience index in the windows 8 consumer preview is weird, the rating was a 4.2 for graphics with the stock windows 8 video drivers went down to 3.5 with the amd catalyst drivers. I don't find the wei rating as a true metric to determine performance, but something to ponder. Haven't done other benchmarks to see if there is a performance hit.

5 out of 5 eggsCPU built for entrataiment mostly.

Pros: CPU Built for the masses.

32nm Built in Graphics Accelerator, Dual core 1Mb Cache, runs cool to the touch.

Cons: If you expect this to be a speed monster, don't.

Other Thoughts: This is mostly built for Home grade PC's, HD videos look nice this is due to the IGPs advanced Video features, IE and Fire fox would more than welcome IGP acceleration.

The Dual Core CPU makes booting and loading a bit faster, much faster than an ATOM or a E-350, if you add another AMD video card an HD6450 to be exact you can do Crossfire but I would suggest a GT440 instead lol.

1 out of 5 eggsMy first and last APU

Pros: None

Cons: I ordered this CPU and a MB. System stuck in Bios setup. Absolutely nothing would get it out of BIOS setup and believe me, I tried everything you can imagine and a few you can't. In addition, the on board video did not work, got post code beeps for bad video. I had to use an add in video card to get to stage 2. I figured the MB was bad so I ordered another. No joy. with the second MB, all I got was "select proper boot device" after post. No matter what the settings were in the BIOS, I still got this message. I verified all other components were bad and then contacted Newegg. I had the first MB too long to return so sent it back to Asrock. Newegg refunded the second MB but would only exchange the CPU. Never again will I buy an AMD APU. Your mileage may vary.

Other Thoughts: No doubt Newegg's return policy on CPUs is dictated by AMD and Intel. So screw them both, wish there were more choices.
