4 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly good GPU... Lower the voltage though!!!

Pros: Plays games in Very playable range, that is:
720p games modern games on mid-high and playable
720p slightly less modern games on high-ultra
1080p modern games on low-mid but playable
1080p not-so-modern games on mid-high and playable.

Very cheap for what it gives.
Runs extremely cool for being a quad-core and a graphics processor (I have it running at 30C idle and 45C Max with Prime95 with STOCK COOLER at stock frequencies. Read other thoughts).

Cons: The CPU performance turned me off a bit. I ended up changing to I5-3570k and leaving this to my dad because the A8 CPU was bottlenecking a few games (Not the GPU).

Other Thoughts: Probably nothing that hasnt been said before but...
This APU runs best with fast ram. I got myself some 2133mhz ram just to be sure that it wasnt the bottleneck and then I went ahead and tightened the frequencies to the bleeding-edge. It probably made a difference so id suggest doing the same.
When i first installed this APU, I noticed temps with the stock cooler around 45C on idle and way higher under load on a test bench. I have read that AMD processors prefer to be left under 60C so i found this to be an uncomfortable temperature. I began to lower the voltage and found that these chips have been overvolted an insane amount to increase binning. That is, they factory overvolt these chips because they can handle it just so that more chips can be "stable" at stock freqs.
The downside to this is, of course, more heat and waste. I managed to pull my voltage all the way from the stock 1.4V to 1.2V flat at stock freqs. This brought my temps down from 45C Idle/60+ Load to 30C/45C max. Ill repeat that this is with the Stock cooler which is no miracle worker.
So for the sake of your computer and our environment, dont waste energy, UNDERVOLT these babies!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome APU!!

Pros: This APU is amazing. I have it running 5 Minecraft Servers and 2 ventrilo servers without a hitch. Then I also use it as an HTPC at the same time!!! CPU usage never got above 75% at stock clock. Now here is the funny part about that. I don't know if I got lucky or what, because my CPU is unlocked. I'm pretty sure this APU isn't supposed to be. But either way, I got this bad boy up to 5.2GHz @ 1.69v on AIR COOLING!!!!! Runs 100% stable @ 73C. I do plan on getting water cooling and I have it clocked to 4.4GHz until I do. But price per performance is unbeatable.

Cons: Wish the GPU side of this was a little more powerful, but I can't complain, I don't use it for gaming, other than when friends want to play Minecraft on my TV, but Minecraft runs just fine. So it's not really a con, just stating that this isn't a high end GPU.

Other Thoughts: ASRock A75M-ITX motherboard
This APU
16GB of DDR3 @ 1866
3x 2TB hard drives (5.2TB Totally avaible)
Lanli Mini-ITX case

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer beware!

Pros: None at this point.

Cons: AMD's QA must be influenced by the bad economy since thy now sell partialy defect products.

Other Thoughts: Used this to build an machine for a Real Estate Office.
On Win XP it will run all day long, given you don't use any type of video content.
Any Flash, VCD, DVD and it will freeze or give you a BSOD. Updating drivers did not change anything. Installed Win 7 to see if it would remedy the issue. Same thing but now it will crash just in windows and shutting down results in blue screen.
Avoid bundles where this OEM chip is used. This was the last AMD chip ever purchased. The unreliability of this product reflects back on me. This is a product from the rejection bin.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy for the money

Pros: Cross fired this APU with a Power Color 6570 Video card. Using this cpu with a Rosewill 92mm FSH. After the build was complete I went to Futuremark to benchmark this set up. Went to Game o Meter and tested it with all the new games. Got a Yes thumbs up withthe 8 to 12 games on Game O Meter. Only paid $56.00 for the video card and the OEM price for the cpu was at the time $109.00. Set this up with a ASrock D2 (no USB 3) FM1 mobo and an inexpensive Apex lanboy type case with a 400 watt 80+ continuous Antec green power supply and 8 GB of Hyper X Blue 1600 MHZ memory. For all purposes (normal computing) it is as fast as any Quad core out there. Don't recommend it for extended office apps or really heavy computing, but for everyday computing and Mid Level gaming with all the new DX11 games you won't find anything compaeable.

Cons: For the price and purpose I can't find any.

Other Thoughts: Inexpensive but quality build.

4 out of 5 eggsKids Computer

Pros: Amazing I got this for $90 to power the kids computer. It runs all the games my kids play better then thought! All the while using just the IGP, which saves power and therefore money in my pocket! AMD = Cheap bliss

Cons: The drivers. I think alot of ppl run into something like this more often then with Nvidia drivers. I acually had to do some research to get figure a few things the drivers kept driving me insane about.

Other Thoughts: The drivers for some reason constantly keep 2 displays up, even if you DO NOT have 2 displays in. The 2nd monitor I was using here was a HD T.V which was picky about which input to use from a computer. Every time it did so it assigned the T.V as the main display, but there was nothing showing. Unplug still thinks the T.V is there now I had to hunt and peck for display properties over and over and over. Still I figured it out, so now it's no big deal still headache!

5 out of 5 eggsA little jem!

Pros: Amazing for the price this costs now. The gpu side of this is way better then I could hope for. I even bought a ddr3 6670 to xfire with this incase It didn't work as planned. (If you buy a ddr5 6670 for xfire, this chip will downgrade it to speeds of ddr3 to match the apu.) I even installed LOL's just to see if it could handle a game similar to WOW and it played it just fine with frame rates at 35-45, depending on what was battling on the screen) Just amazing for not having a dedicated card. Can't wait for the next generation. At this price, Amazing.

Cons: The only downside to me is this and the moterboard needed is not upgradeable. Some think the next generation APU will be compatible, I doubt it very much. The next couple generations will probably compatible with each other. Still this is a very good apu for the price.

Other Thoughts: I put this on a clients build using their money without telling them. I put windows 7 ultimate on it and hooked it up and they love it! Told them what I did and they like it. All the other computers in their store have gpu's and I told them never again, especially after the next generation apu comes out. Get amazed on! I never did xfire the 6670, never had to. I use it in my rig and it plays LOL's at 60fps.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Budget CPU

Pros: -Easily the best Quad-core for a budget gaming rig. It has an IPC increase from Athlon x2 (11% better at CPU dependent games like WoW) which puts it on par with the Phenom x4 (Without L3 Cache, not a big deal.)
-Great base speed, and 32NM mean this CPU stays cool and runs games great (I use a dedicated card, not the iGPU)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My friend was trying to talk me into getting an i5 for gaming. I was on a budget, so I decided to save myself $110+ and get this processor instead, knowing I would not use the on chip graphics. With the extra $110 dollars I bought a High end graphics card instead of a mid-ranged graphics card, and I am glad I did. This CPU + a High end GPU will beat an i5 and a mid range GPU in almost every game. IMHO, absolutely best processor for a budget gaming rig.
