5 out of 5 eggsJust Fine

Pros: Stable, no surprises, great for overclocking, may get unlocked cores.

Cons: May get no unlocked core. I got dead unlocked core. Nothing wrong with that, since I paid for four cores.

Other Thoughts: I am very happy with this processor. I know that I will use my desktop with this config for at least 5 years.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for what it is, most bad reviews are ignorant

Pros: I have 2 of these, one runs as 6 cores all the time at stock 3.0Ghz speed, the 2nd is in a non-unlocking motherboard running rock solid, also at stock speed.
Overclocking and Unlocking:
OC and UL'ing these is not something that is guaranteed, so everyone that gave a BAD review because of this should be ignored. You are buying a 4 core 3Ghz cpu that MAY be able to Overclock AND OR may unlock to 6 cores.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Performance

Pros: Wonderful chip. Has really sped up my machine and extended its lifespan. I have a Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P which I bought for the AM2 socket. Was glad that the it can accommodate AM3 chips and the chip works like a champ! I appreciate the lower costs as i do not as yet have as much disposable income as I would like. I am able to play my games as well on a decent setting. I probably could go max settings but I dont as I like to have medium settings as it moves faster for me.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsLucky one

Pros: Bought as a 4 core in hopes it would unlock to all six cores. Unlocked and works great! Haven't as yet OC'd ,but will do in near future. Want better cooler first. Have used motherboard oc'er to get 12% boost. Asus motherboard bought here on NewEgg.

Cons: None as of yet.

Other Thoughts: Wished I could have afforded an upper level AMD board 6gb sata and usb 3 that also said it would unlock all 6 cores in their advertisement. UEFI would have been nice too. So far my combo has perform great together. Running 5 Boinc programs, 7 to 8 processing at a time.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Processor

Pros: Fast, easily overclocked, runs cool, chance to be unlocked, great price.

Cons: Discontinued.

Other Thoughts: Replaced an aging Phenom 2 X2 550. Put in, immediately went to BIOS and unlocked. Booted up and had a perfectly functioning hexacore processor. Able to overclock to 4.1GHz @ 1.33V (goes to 1.375 under load). Using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo temps stay under 45C even when gaming for extended periods.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU... for the last stop on AM3

Pros: Price, low temp's, ease of overclocking, performance, possability of unlocking two extra cores

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought this as an upgrade for my Phenom II X2 555. It's been 4 months and very happy with the purchase and performance. Overclocked with a voltage increase to 4.0.ghz and runs stable. Using CM hyper 212+ and idle temps didn't change much 21 degrees on average. Temps will climb to high 30's low 40's after a few hours of gaming but overall surprised at how much cooler this runs than the chip it replaced. This paired with an SSD have added a significant performance upgrade to my system. WEI for CPU is 7.5 oc'd. Didn't have luck unlocking extra cores but still very happy with purchase. Great last stop if you have an AM3 system thuban core runs very cool.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU!

Pros: Easy OCing and unlocking of extra cores. Running at 3.6 ghz and still cool. No reason to push it any more. It is now discontinued on newegg, but I wanted to review it anyways.
