Other Thoughts: I bought this 3rd gen unit to replace a 2nd gen dual core 1.8Ghz Opteron. Its running in a Dell T105 running VMware ESXi w/8GB memory. Even running 6 virtual machines with a moderate load, each machine seems quite fast.

4Core, low power!

Pros: 4core, low power, great stepping. 7C cooler than my Athlon 2x 2.0 +3800 65W with the same work load.

Cons: Not all AM2 motherboards support this chip! I had to swap out my Asus M2NBP-VM CSM motherboard for a GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2 which supports the 1352, but only by chance, the 1352 is _not listed as a supported cpu_ for the Gigabyte board.

Other Thoughts: I wish that socket compatibility was absolute. Shouldn't all AM2 CPUs work with all AM2 boards?!?! I mean. I can understand that not all features can be implement, FSB speed etc, but at least allow the board to POST!

Pros: Nice CPU. 75W, very cool. No voltage increase for me but it is at 2.4GHz with RAM at 975MHz

Cons: None, low clock speed

Other Thoughts: Clock speed doesn't matter very much for my needs. This will work perfectly.
