Pros: I'll repeat what others have said:
Fast.
Cheap.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Installed and works well in the Sun Ultra 20 M2. Replaced a 1.8 Ghz opteron 1210.

Pros: Fastest dual-core AMD you can buy. Runs reasonably cool.

Cons: No headroom for OC. This 1224SE won't budge more than approx 100 Mhz. My last Opteron (model 1216) went from 2.4 Ghz to 3.1 Ghz stable with just a little voltage increase using the same mobo and RAM. Oh well...bought a Phenom 720 to replace it ;-)

Other Thoughts: MSI K9A2 Platinum v1, 2gb Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400, Enermax Liberty ELT500awt, Xigmatek HDT-S1283

Pros: Fastest Dual Core Opteron available! Cheaper than even a 2.8 or 2.6GHz Opteron.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Installed it in a Dell PowerEdge T105 Server without any problems. This cpu makes a great upgrade over the original Sempron 1.8GHz cpu.
