5 out of 5 eggsA very good CPU with decent intergrated graphics!

Pros: Can be overclocked to be as fast as or faster than the 3870k.
Came with a decent stock heat sink.
Intergrated graphics are pretty good (with fast ram), though I'll be beefing mine up with an HD 6570.
Runs games pretty well, can encode and edit video without too much trouble.

Cons: FM1 no longer supported.
Performance isn't as good as an i7, but it's nowhere near as expensive as an i7 either.

Other Thoughts: For the price, I can't really complain.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good for the money!

Pros: Compared to my old Intel Q6600 Quad it run slightly faster overall at stock but you add the fact it's unlocked and wow, I run this with 8GB of DDR3 2400(OC) at 3.48GHz and its very fast and stable!

Cons: DO NOT USE STOCK COOLER - i was hitting 170F+ with stock cooler with 2400 memory! Bought a cheap $20 heat pipe cooler and temps never go above 120F now.

Other Thoughts: Compared with a friends Six-Core AMD it out performed it by 500 points on PCmark7 (we both have same video cards and memory, only diff boards and processors)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little CPU, I'm impressed!

Pros: The price is a big selling point of course, but until you buy one you'll have no idea just what a great deal this is.
I just finished a client build with an A75 motherboard, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Last night I fired up Skyrim with the pc on a 24 inch monitor, 1080p. The game originally detected my hardware and set the graphics settings to HIGH. The game intro was a little choppy, so I dropped the settings detail to medium. After that it was like butter.

Cons: There is only one con I've encountered. It appears there is no analog video. I have been unsuccessful at using a DVI to VGA converter to get analog video.
I am going under the assumption that since the video is on die that there are no analog components on the APU. Also the motherboard does not have a northbridge, so I believe there is no analog video available. I could be all wet, but I haven't seen any documentation either way.

This could be limited to my motherboard, but my understanding is that all A75 motherboard are without a northbridge which traditionally has handled the duties of integrated video.

The CPU temp has been running a bit higher than I expected using a low cost liquid cooler, 40-50C although I did see an idle temp today of 35C.

Other Thoughts: I spent quite a bit of time testing this computer, over a month and it really performed well above my expectations. I can't say enough nice things about this, but I will say that I was very impressed with the gaming performance and overall system responsiveness. I played a number of A list titles, including Portal, Skyrim, Mass Effect, and Dirt 3. No, you can't max out Crysis 3, but did you really expect to for under a hunnerd bux?

I am a gamer, modder and enthusiast and have been building systems for over 15 years.

Here's the specs:
AMD A6-3670k APU
Sapphire A 75 Pure Platinum mobo
Antec 620 Kuhler
Antec 380W green power
OCZ 90 GB SSD
8GB DDR3 1600Mhz Avexir memory

4 out of 5 eggsGreat processor, but unstable

Pros: Good speed
Runs simple 3D games very well, like Counter-Strike, Tf2, and Minecraft.
Very good value

Cons: Unstable temperatures and speed
Very high average temperature
Very slow at random times (but restarting system usual fixes it)

Other Thoughts: I use this for my Samsung laptop, and I have been impressed with my first AMD processor. I use Piriform Speccy to check the CPU every so often, and it always has a very high temperature, usually around 95 degrees C. I feel like my CPU is just melting, even though the fan works fine. Core speeds have ranged from 900 MHz to 1450 MHz in each core. I would NOT recommend overclocking, unless you want to melt the whole thing.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent CPU for budget gaming.

Pros: This processor, like most other AMD models, runs at a lower temperature so overheating is rare even with the included heatsink.

Wit the AMD vision engine control panel I was able to increase/decrease power consumption which is a very nice feature that I didn't have on my family PC rig running an older athalon processor.

Cons: When trying to hybrid crossfire this model with a supported dedicated graphics card I had a little trouble getting it set up, although this isn't a downside of the processor itself, it can be a difficult process for people who don't know how to change certain BIOS settings.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Budget

Pros: Quad-core, Over-clockable by AMD Utility, APU is dual-graphics ready.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: 2.7GHZ quad-core, but AMD's catalyst utility will happily factory overclock to 3.2 safely. Windows 7 after boot time loads up in seconds, and shuts down in 6 seconds flat. Pairing this processor with a Radeon HD 6000 series card or in my case a 6670HD allows for dual graphics support, powering both into one output for max performance and no lag.
