5 out of 5 eggsLucky Grab

Pros: The best 6 core AMD available... what can I say.
I have this running at 3.5 and 4.0 turbo, just did a motherboard multiplier bump and it is running everything much faster than my Phenom II X4 955. Big upgrade. SW:TOR went from 35 FPS on my 955 and HD 6850 to 60+ FPS. I really couldn't believe the bottleneck on the old X4 955 was that bad.

My temps never go above 55C and I still have headroom to OC.

To the previous post, turn off the unlock option on your motherboard, the temp will show in Windows with CoreTemp or any other program. that is a common problem with people buying the x2 Calisto and unlocking the cores to x4.

Cons: I don't know what to do with the old Phenom II X4 955 :)
Maybe i'll get a chep motherboard and build a new pc from the office pc circa 2003, could use some better performance in that room i guess.

Other Thoughts: Hands down a wonderful CPU. Keep tabs on this listing and wait for another OEM builder to unload these on newegg because there is "no more demand" on the old standard. Much better that an FX 4100 or 6100.

And if is more than $200, it is probably still worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsUPDATE

Pros: OK, got this stable at 4ghz using the motherboards auto voltage feature (Monitoring with CPU-Z, gets to about 1.476 under full load with prime95, though I don't know how accurate it is) Don't want to try to go higher, 4ghz is fine for me.

Cons: Just seemed to notice this, but I cannot figure out what the temps are. I tried multiple different monitoring programs (Including AMD Overdrive, which states 12C) and none of them are stating the correct temps (unless 0 degrees Celsius is possible) I think the temp sensor is broken. The bios is the only thing I can trust, saying Idle temps are around 30-33 degrees Celsius, but can't run it under load in the bios, but i'm sure the CM 212 EVO is keeping it at safe temps with arctic silver 5 ;)

Other Thoughts: My Build:
CPU: AMD Phenom II 1100t@4ghz

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (With AC5)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

Memory: 8gb G.Skill 1866mhz (@1600mhz 9-10-9-28)

Graphics: MSI r5770 Hawk @950 core, 1300 memory (Looking to upgrade)

Case: Xcilo Propellor

Hard Drive(s): Mushkin 120gb SATA 6gb/s SSD

Western Digital Caviar Blue 320gb SATA 3gb/s

DVD Drive: Lite-ON DVD Burner

Power Supply: PC Power & Cooling Silencer MKII 950W 80 Plus Silver

WEI Scores:
7.6 CPU
7.6 Memory
7.5 Graphics
7.5 Gaming Graphics
7.9 Hard Disk Performance

Total Cost: About $982

5 out of 5 eggsI'm so lucky!

Pros: I got this within the 5 day period that it was activated on newegg for 200 dollars! Wow, I really lucked out.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: Just came yesterday, but ordered the CM Hyper 212 EVO from a different website, so still waiting =/

When i get the cooler, I will try to overclock, and see what this baby can do!

AMD Phenom II 1100t
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
Gskill Sniper 1866mhz 9-10-9-28
PC Power & Cooling Silencer MKII 950W
AMD MSI r5770 Hawk
Lite-ON DVD Burner
Xcilo Propeller ATX Mid-Tower

Now to those of you who didn't RESEARCH and READ INTO your purchases, This clearly states that it is an OEM product, Which means it DOES NOT come with the fan and heatsink. It is clearly labeled under every OEM processor details on newegg. Another thing to note: DEACTIVATED clearly states that it MAY or MAY NOT be reactivated (Restocked)

5 out of 5 eggsOut of stock.

Pros: 1100t for $200, can't find it anywhere else, and if you can, it is over $300. I was going to go with a 960T, until piledriver came out. I waited, and I got really lucky on this one.

Cons: Was only in stock for 5 days. these are the last of this series. ordered on Friday, still waiting for it to show up.

5 out of 5 eggsBest processor for this price

Pros: Easily overclocks (got mine at 4.0 GHz stable 24/7)
Powerful for only a $200 chip
6 cores!
Handles 3 GTX 480s with no problem.
With Corsair H100, only gets to 47 degress Celsius max while running Prime95 (27 Celsius idle).

Cons: None so far with over a year of use.

As I've seen in other "Cons" sections, people complain about not having the heatsink, but, trust me, you do not want the stock heatsink. They're doing you a favor by not including it. I originally had the stock heatsink installed and it sounded like a small airplane while playing games. I bought a after stock heatsink within a couple hours of having the stock installed.

Other Thoughts: Bought mine over a year ago for my first build ever and I have moved it through 3 computers (kept upgrading motherboards and parts). Have been comparing it to every other processor that was out at the time and has come out over the past year and it holds its own against much more expensive prosessors both in gaming benchmarks and others. I really can't justify anyone spending more money for a different processor; much more expensive intel processors only have a few more fps's in gaming benchmarks. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Top of the line when it comes to the am3 socket so you better get it while its still around. Got mine from tiger direct, which came with a stock fan and for anyone complaining about it not coming with one on here need not complain because the fan that comes with it sounds like a vacuum cleaner when playing games so I had to buy a Cooler Master 212. Runs great so far.

Cons: None so far.
