3 out of 5 eggsMy Last AMD

Pros: AMD at one point was.. closer to Intel in terms of speed. But now that the gap has gotten bigger, it's worth spending another $100+ to get a lot more speed! Price per Performance just isn't there anymore with AMDs.

Cons: Slow, Eats up power. Hot

Pros: Very Good CPU, Fairly easy to install

Cons: None at this point

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This CPU is everything I wanted and then some. Massive powerhouse that I haven't even needed to overclock.

Cons: Seems to not like threading very much.

4 out of 5 eggsehh

Pros: good price resonable performance

Cons: didn't overclock very well i was able to get it to almost 4.6 safely but it seems like it shud be performing better for 4.6 , like it has the GHz but nothing else

Other Thoughts: i purchased a liquid cooler when i bought this, its hard to tell if my PC is on or not if screens off

5 out of 5 eggsBang for your Buck!

Pros: Price Price Price!! performance is amazing, the price is a huge kicker.

Cons: stock cooler was SCARY to put on..very very tight fit but I guess you want good contact for good cooling.
stock fan is super loud even when at idle. but with a fast chip like this you should prob get an aftermarket cooler anyhow.

Other Thoughts: High power usage is kinda a con but you can tweak that if your not putting a heavy work-load on it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Fast processor, haven't had any trouble with it, and it never even gets warm when putting a lot of stress on it.

Cons: CPU fan was kind of a pain to put on, I was afraid of breaking something, but it went on after a while.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, but...

Pros: Bang for your buck, this thing is insane. My girlfriend bought this for her computer - she spent less than I did on my i5 3700 and she gets better performance. Runs fairly cool, pretty stable, really nice overall. I haven't overclocked it yet - I usually save that for the end of the CPU's life when it's having a rough time handling the things I want to run with it.

Cons: Jeez this thing is loud. Even when the fan is running at 30%, I can hear it in another room. It's like a freakin' freight train. I have a full tower a few feet away from the mid tower that this one is in, and even with all 9 fans running at max speed, you can't hear them over the whine of this CPU cooler. I had to knock off one egg for that reason.

Other Thoughts: The noise is NOT a reason to avoid this processor. It's a great piece of hardware, and there are a thousand solutions to the noise issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor

Pros: - Fast
- Handles all games on max settings with a Decent video card
- Is surprisingly good in multi tasking
- Computer runs flawlessly
- Doesn't heat up as much as I thought it would (using stock cooler), handles full loads like a champ
- Outperforms any i3

Cons: - Get, I repeat get a different cooler, the stock cooler sounds like an airplane taking off, put in an extra 15 bucks and get a nice silent cooler.

Other Thoughts: AS MUCH AS I LOVE INTEL I WOULD TAKE THIS OVER ANY, I REPEAT ANY I3 ANY DAY. IT HAS SO FAR OUTPERFORMED MY PRIOR I3 BUILDS FOR CLIENTS IN GAMING AND DATA PROCESSING.

5 out of 5 eggsOh my goodness!

Pros: FAST FAST FAST!
I haven't ever used a cpu this fast and powerful before. I've been stuck in AMD-64 fx land for the past 5 years and I've been waiting to upgrade. This is like being able to breathe again after having a horrendous stuffy cold for 4 years.
Why did I wait so long....

I used a "COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO" for cooling since i heard bad reviews about the stock cooler. It fit perfectly and wasn't that hard to install. Very VERY quiet too!

Cons: None, this thing BLAZES without even trying.
I love seeing the 4 bars of the cpu in my win-7 monitor gadget!

Other Thoughts: This CPU runs all of my games without even trying. I am kicking myself for struggling to get my games to work for the past 3 years instead of spending the money to upgrade my gaming rig.
