4 out of 5 eggsNothing exceptional

Pros: Performs as rated. Nothing exceptional. Built for client. Great for budget build though. Upgrade from an old Pentium 2 for under 150.

Cons: One of the pins came in bent and I didn't realize. Almost tried forcing it until I saw the bent pin. Tweezers did the trick and didn't even need to be perfectly straight.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again for low tech clients. Gets the job done for those who have little need besides web browsing and watching videos.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap and gets the job done

Pros: This is a Cheap APU, and is fairly quick for the price. It is able to handle light gaming with out a graphics card no sweet. The graphics cards it can crossfire with are really cheap, making it a cheap rig to play with.

Cons: The FM1 is a dead socket type, and the GPU on the card is dead and graphics cards that can crossfire with it are not going to be able to match a current graphics card even without the cross fire ability.

Other Thoughts: I build a rig with this APU about 8 months ago for about $200 and have been happy with it. With out a graphics card it can run World of Warcraft on the middle settings and Starcraft on the low settings just fine. Larger games like Skyrim it has some really issues with.

I put a ATI Radeon HD 6770 1GB DDR5 in it about 6 months ago, it now runs WoW on ultra, starcraft on the middle settings and Skyrim like a champ (though the shadows are possessed in skyrim.)

If your just needing it for a personal PC, it will be a great CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't go wrong with this!

Pros: Had this for over 4 months overclocked at 3.3 GHz. Runs fast, runs solid, does what you need it to and quickly. Runs cool, at 3.3 I get 15-40C, idle to full load, on the stock fan/sink/paste! Low wattage too. Worth the buy.

Cons: Noisy, but bearable, stock fan.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasantly Surprised

Pros: Inexpensive, But surprisingly powerful. Has no issue playing 1080p videos. Youtube vids load fast on best quality without skips as well. Can run minecraft on higher settings with a playable framerate. Has no problems playing older games on max settings. Low TDP means cool operation. It's an all-round mighty little chip!

Cons: Stock boxed cooler is extremely noisy. After a week of using it I was going insane. Swapped it with a cheap arctic fan/heatsink and now its silent.

Other Thoughts: FM1 is rapidly aging, what with FM2 already out and producing better results for not much more cash. But if you need a cheap basic every day system that can still play an occasional game, you won't be disappointed with this A4-3400.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Never had a problem with it. overclocked to 4.7GHz easy and I have gotten spikes over 5ghz. oh and it is on the stock cooler(ish). Runs at 30c to 59c. This is why i like

Cons: It is in an All-in-One by hp?

5 out of 5 eggsGood processor.

Pros: Runs cool at about 35C, good performance v price v power consumption (only 65W for dual core 2.7 + graphics). Runs 1080p great, capable of light gaming.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My CPU is currently seated in a Jetway A-55 mobo, with 2x 2GB DDR3-1333 latency 7, 1TB 7200RPM HD, inside a microATX slim case with a 300W PSU. Using Windows XP 32 bit. The system has had no major issues and runs 1080p video just great. I have played League of Legends and Smite @ 1080p and it works fine except when there is a lot going on--then the frame rates dip really low. This is fine as I hadn't expected to play games at all on this budget APU.

2 out of 5 eggsBlack Screen After Display Resumes from Power Save

Pros: - Cheap.

- Low power consumption.

Cons: - After 15 or so minutes of inactivity, windows turns off the monitor to save power. After the monitor enters power save mode, moving the mouse turns the monitor back on, but a black screen is displayed.

- Catalyst display drivers are junk.

- Takes some effort to get Linux running.

Other Thoughts: - Paired with Biostar A75MG (Newegg Item N82E16813138361).
