5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Processor

Pros: Perfect choice for an inexpensive build. The processor works just like I expected as this is not a gaming machine.

Cons: Non so far

Other Thoughts: So far I have not had a single issue with the AMD product line. They work and for the price you just can't beat them.

5 out of 5 eggsA4-3400 at 2.7

Pros: integrated graphics, cheap price point.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Put this in a cheap build for a friend with a MSI motherboard and everything worked great with 4 gig of ram running at 1866.
Decent speed for this chip and i think if you used it with a video card it would do even better. Not a gaming chip but good for a home office computer or a htpc.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat on a budget

Pros: Bought this to go in a budget desktop computer for my gf whose laptop was on its last leg. Very responsive and graphics look great. Stock CPU Cooler installed easily. Just really great for what we plan to use it for - Internet, YouTube, Word Processing... Basic usage.

Cons: Probably won't run WoW on Full settings but what are you expecting for an APU?

5 out of 5 eggsGood Product/Price

Pros: Great for building a cheap low end system.

Cons: Not for gaming.

Other Thoughts: I've used this for building two PC's for people. It's great for a cheap PC for internet and homework.

5 out of 5 eggsPlays Batman Arkham City and more

Pros: Plays many new games at the time it was introduced, and was perfect for a budget gaming build believe it or not. I have bought this processor so many times for budget builds, and the customers are greatly surprised. Adding a gfx card made it more powerfull than a 6870 by itself.

Cons: Might be a little slow on the newest games, and can bogged down by too many things running at once. Of course I own an awesome 8 core, so this is not comparative.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks good!

Pros: Easy install as always
No problems with stock fan
Fast

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Used this processor in a build for a shipping/receiving manager. Runs a shipping software that is process intensive 24/7 in addition to Microsoft Office and high-res PDF documents (exceeding 20-40mb). No problems whatsoever.

5 out of 5 eggsHonest review

Pros: The first thing I like about this CPU is the cost. This thing is affordable and is adequate for a small workstation.

This thing handles tasks well, such as: internet, Office, small games, high def movies. Even during high CPU usage the computer was responsive.

Cons: I can't think of any cons.

Other Thoughts: I built a computer for an older woman that does nothing more that use the internet and work with Office products. I wanted a CPU that could handle what she does without breaking her bank. This fit the mold.

In my personal computer I use an i5-2500k w/ 8GB w/ R9 280X and my home workstation has Xeon E5-2620 w/ 32GB w/ 7870 XT. I am using those as my standards for performance comparison.

I was pleased with the performance of the A4-3400. It is a responsive processor and the built in GPU performs very well. I paired the A4-3400 with 2x4GB of RAM. I did not test games on the processor as I only wanted the computer to perform the tasks mentioned and play movies, it does all of those well.

I do recommend this processor. For the price this is a great processor and would work perfect for workstations or HTPCs.
