- Pros: low voltage, way better then my t5040 1.67GHZ laptop runs cooler about 43C to 58C under heavy load with t5040 it was 51C-62C
- Cons: don't feel that this processor is worth 259$ could have gone out and bought a new lap top for 429$
- Other Thoughts: been watching this processor for a year Intel refuses to budge on price even though quad core is available for laptops and hyper threading is back if you have the extra cash get the t9300 or t9400 if you lap top supports fsb1066 other notes installed this in hp dv9700 big pain to install have to almost fully disassemble not like my old zd7000 was much easier also i do alot of CAD and BIM drawing and work with large pdf all the time this processor took my lap top from slow to mediocre best advise get the t9300 or get a new laptop
- Pros: There was a definite increase in overall speed of the system once I reformatted hard drive and did a fresh install of OS. Gaming and multi-tasking improved as well as a reduction in heat output. Moved from a T7250 to T8300, worth the money in my opinion as it feels like a new computer now. Fast shipment as usual from Newegg.
- Cons: Did not install itself in my notebook. Took some time and patience to remove old chip from ASUS A8SC and re-install.
Smokin
- Pros: This processor makes my once sub-par Acer Extensa 5620z run like a $1000+ laptop.
Ludicrously fast
Windows Vista Ultimate boots in about 30 secs. Photoshop is usable in about 10 secs.
Renders and plays videos almost as fast as my $2000 desktop set-up.
- Cons: Kinda pricey, but worth it
- Other Thoughts: If your thinking about upgrading, get this one, its the best value for money, period.
