4 out of 5 eggsgood, but fan sucks

Pros: its a very good cpu

Cons: the fan absolutely sucks, to loud and doesn't do its job

Other Thoughts: as long as you have a cpu fan to replace the stock fan your solid

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bang for Buck

Pros: Runs everything I need it to, I built a rig on a budget and this APU was the best choice when it comes to bang for my buck.

I have added a video card to the rig because I do game a bit but with the aftermarket cooling fan and heatsink I can get this to 4.7GHz stable without adjusting power. I played a few games to see if the temp was out of control at this speed but I didn't get over 45 C.

Cons: The only con I have so far with this is that the stock cooler is absolutely useless. If AMD is going to sell these APUs they need better cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns cool in my slim case

Pros: I love the capable integrated graphics that allow intermediate level gaming and 4.2Ghz turbo mode. I can process a bluray disk from 40GB down to 1.2Gb about as fast as my 4000 series I5.

Cons: When used as a media computer, I had to disable alot of the video enhancements from AMD as they actually made the image more jerky.

Other Thoughts: I had already left this APU a good review. I just wanted to answer some owners having heat issues. I put this in a slim Minuet case with stock cooler and idle at 38C all day. When I stress test (handbrake) at full boost, I push towards 60C, but never unstable. If you're idling at 50C, you either have a cooler mounting problem, no lithium grease or a defective unit.

1 out of 5 eggsRuns Very Hot!

Pros: How am I supposed to provide any pros when the processor runs at 50c+ when I am not doing anything.

Cons: I read the reviews that the stock fan and heat sink are really bad. I bought this for running Visual Studio, Netbeans, and SQL Server. I couldn't even get through an installation without the PC shutting off due to the processor getting to 90c. Ridiculous! And then they have the nerve to include that use of any after-market fan and/or heat sink will void the warranty. What a joke! I have never seen anything like this. I am not going to replace the cooling mechanism. I put in a warranty claim. How have they not fixed this issue. The stock fan and heat sink should be fine for running regular programs without overclocking. The cpu usage never even went over 50 percent, yet this processor is hitting 90c. Ahhh!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome APU

Pros: Cannot beat the cost
Graphics are awesome, but I'm not a gamer and can provide no insight into how it handles those loads.
Heatsink has thermal paste

Cons: I have not seen any negatives yet.

Other Thoughts: This APU was part of my second ever system build. Money was not an option when I set out to build my computer, so I weighed the differences between Intel and AMD, and for me, someone who doesn't do any gaming but runs multiple forms of graphic design software simultaneously, I found AMD to be a much better value than Intel. I'll never need to overclock my system, but when building a system, I find scalability to be the biggest concern, so, basically, what can I build that will not need replaced within five years? The speed and performance of this APU will, I believe, allow me to run new software for many years to come without the fear of not meeting specified requirements.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat processor for a great price

Pros: Has been able to handle any game I throw at it with ease, still runs as well as when I first got it, great choice for gamers on a budget. Not too costly and a lot of bang for your buck.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: No comment on the stock fan, seeing as I've used a heat sink fan from the start.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great CPU for the price, handles all my games with ease.

Cons: Runs hot and the heat sink/fan were a bit small for this CPU. Installed aftermarket heat sink/fan and runs great.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat product

Pros: Great quality and awesome power

Cons: OEM heat sink is not enough to make this product last.

Other Thoughts: You really do have to buy an after market cooling system, I was playing some video games and it got so hot it wrapped to the heat sink and its lost.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Incredibly Cost Efficient
Able to play newish games at low-medium settings with good frames

Cons: Requires FM2 Socket motherboard, meaning you'll need a new motherboard should you choose to upgrade.
