1 out of 5 eggsa disappointment

Pros: It's AMD. Price is right.

Cons: Burnt out on me in just over 3 years; it was only days out of warranty

Other Thoughts: I always use AMD processors when building computers, but this one, for my own personal computer, burnt out when it was just over the warranty period. Using it in two different motherboards, the CPU temps were climbing up so high, the board would just shut down when under a heavy load. I initially thought it was the Gigabyte motherboard that was at fault, but I purchased an ASRock MB, and it did the same as the Gigabyte board. This is the first time I in 12 years I have encountered a processor that did this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value for price

Pros: Fast for the price

Cons: Not as snappy as an intel
wouldn't recommend for gaming at any resolution!

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a pc I put together for my grandfather. He uses it to male music and watch videos online. Pair it with 8gb of 2133 ram and no need for a gpu.

3 out of 5 eggsEZ setup and runs well with Win 10

Pros: -Actually quite good for office computing and some minor gaming. Fine for running videos and lower res graphics, but would not recommend for a gaming computer
-Very economical and good value for the price. This has been a solid APU running well for about 3 months now.

Cons: With stock fan and cooler, it's running hot! Plan to put a liquid cooled option to address this.

Other Thoughts: This CPU may be running hot because of the BIOS setting on the Asus MB I am using. Lacks ability to set a manual voltage so that might be the problem. I guess we can see what the other comments are. If customers don't run a hardware monitor, I doubt they would even know how hot it's running because everything works and looks fine.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing for the price, runs a bit hot though

Pros: -It's an awesome cpu for the price. Its unlocked so you can overclock it easily.
-It already has a good clock speed so at 1080p,you can play most games at medium to very high settings. I can play shadow of mordor paired with a gtx 960 2gb at medium high settings at 56- 60 fps. BF4 at 50- 70 fps on ultra.
-Has integrated graphics, never used them but I've read that they were pretty good with games. I recommend pairing this with a good discrete card.

Cons: -Runs pretty hot with stock cooler, so if you are going to buy this, make sure that you buy an aftermarket cooler. I would recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo, or a water cooler if you can afford it.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I would highly recommend this processor for 1080p gaming or just for a good workstation. But make sure you get a different cooler. Runs pretty hot when gaming (as expected with any amd cpu), but gives very good performance, even more paired with a good cooler and gpu.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product for the Price

Pros: -I upgraded to this from a Dual-Core A6-5400K, and I am noticing better performance on my machine
-Great price

Cons: -I used the IGP for a couple of weeks while waiting on my upgraded GPU (EVGA GeForce 960). I would not suggest using the IGP if you want to play any modern games, with high/ultra settings. I think it managed Fallout 4 on low.

Other Thoughts: -I would recommend this product to other people.

5 out of 5 eggsFormidable 4 Core.

Pros: This is plenty fast for me, I only play BF2142 ExtendedSP and get 98 FPS with Gigabyte video card and APU. OC to 4.0 easily and stable.

Cons: No way to really monitor the APU temp accurately(?) GPU is OK for normal use but video card works better and speeds it up.
I could not install some Linux or Win XP at all. Had to spend another hundred for Win 7, but it is a lot faster than XP anyway. I went the APU route to install Win XP but it would not install.

Other Thoughts: I put this on a new Gigabyte . F2A88XM-D3H with Patriot Viper 3 Red 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) PVL38G186C9KR and a Gigabyte video card to keep the APU cooler

4 out of 5 eggsIt's better than....

Pros: It is faster than the dual core 3.4 Mhz FM2 processor it replaced.
start up times are reduced.

Cons: I wish I had went on the AMD sight before I bought this.
I could have bought a faster quad core A10 for less.

Other Thoughts: This has been a good processor so far. I will replace the stock cooler with the one I ordered at the same time, WHEN it gets here.
I think it is coming by rowboat from china. I have not pushed the chip yet on the stock cpu cooler.
