5 out of 5 eggsIncredible value

Pros: Dual-module design has real quad-core performance for daily tasks. Excellent 'feel' in Windows. High performance overall for browsing and office tasks. Overclocks very well.

Graphics performance is remarkable. Paired with 1866MT/s memory, can run most newer games near or at max settings at 1080p playably (with some stutter), or 720p smoothly. Tested with Blacklight: Retribution, Neverwinter Online, Street Fighter IV AE 2012, RAGE (1080p@60fps!), League of Legends (1080p@60+!), and Warframe. Very capable; incredible for an IGP.

Cons: Included heatsink is garbage; CPU will not turbo much. Strongly recommend third-party heatsink.

CPU performance is underwhelming for the price when paired with discrete GPU. Recommend other CPU for use with discrete GPU; dual graphics is a joke.

Other Thoughts: Purchased as a general-use and light-gaming box; turns out to be capable of much more than expected. Very impressive.

5 out of 5 eggsFloored

Pros: All I can say is wow, I have this paired with the 6670 and I can run any game I own that I use to run on my old 6970 Crossfire rig. Granted I cannot run them as high as that old machine, this one beats the hell out of it on cost-performance ratio.

Cons: Does seem to run a tad bit toasty, I havent actual found a program that will read the actual temp other than the UEFI bios, which is obviously not good for overclockin when I cant see what it hits under load, bios says its idle temp is 50-60C when the ambient room temp is 65F. Stock cooler leaves something to be desired

Other Thoughts: GET FAST RAM!! I cannot stress this enough, there are huge leaps and bounds on performance when you use 1866 and above.
If you are looking to build a mid level gaming machine for less than 500 bucks look no further, this APU will not dissapoint you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Unit

Pros: Cheap, Fast, Reliable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I did much research to create a budget PC build. After reading forums, watching youtube videos etc, I finally decided to go with this AMD A10-5800k APU. This APU is highly capable. I mostly use my new build for web browsing, excel, word, light gaming, and some video/photo processing. It is MORE THAN CAPABLE to perform all these duties. It runs Starcraft 2 on 1920x1080 on all High Settings with no issues whatsoever (average about 30 FPS on HIGH)! I went with an aftermarket cooler because I may overclock it later on.

Below are my components:

CPU: AMD A10-5800k
MoBo: ASRock FM2A75 Pro4
HD: Samsung 120 GB SSD MZ-7TD120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III
Case: Coolermaster 430 Elite
PSU: Corsair CX430
OS: Windows 7
RAM: G. Skill Ares 2x8GB @1866mHz
DVD-RW:ASUS DVD-RW
Heatsink: Coolermaster 212 Evo
Wireless: Rosewill RNX-N300X PCI Wireless Adapter
Monitor: ASUS 23" VS Series VS238H-P

In my opinion, the bang-for-buck on the unit is STELLAR. For 99% of people, you do not need a high-end, expensive PC with features that most programs won't even utilize to its potential. If you are looking for a capable unit on a budget, and do light gaming, GET THIS!

5 out of 5 eggsSuits my needs.

Pros: The Graphics portion of this APU is awesome. I can get 80-120 FPS in COD4 on high, no problem. Also i noticed some people complaining about the stock cooler, I don't have a problem with it. It keeps it under 60c which is good enough for me.

Cons: It isnt a 3770k or a 8350 :D

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent APU!

Pros: Inexpensive, all-in-one processor. Great for HTPC, streaming, gaming.

Decent for encoding.

Cons: Stock cooling a bit loud.

Other Thoughts: Put this on an ITX build for a HTPC. Have played Skyrim on high settings while streaming a movie to an Xbox without a hiccup.

Ran a script to encode a few MKV to XVid (FFMpeg) and was using 30% CPU for encode at 40fps while streaming to XBox.

Replace the stock cooling.

This is a snappy little APU for the money, certainly a capable processor that will help you keep the costs down.

I have mine running with 8GB of Ripjaws 1866 on an ASRock FM2A85X-ITX with nothing else on the board connected to a 42" plasma via HDMI. OS on a 128GB SSD with a 320GB SATA for recordning TV and a 2TB WD for the movie/music library. Running Windows 8 Pro + Media Center getting live TV from the SD Homerun Prime. This wakes from sleep via the magic packet from the XBox 360's in about 6 seconds.
For people reading reviews, ignore the guy that said this is slower than a Pentium, he more than obviously has either no idea what he's talking about or has some other issue with his build.

5 out of 5 eggsSick CPU

Pros: That processor work very well, the graphic card integrated is very good.

Terrific price/performance value!!!!

Cons: NOTHING YET!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other Thoughts: Like some of the other comments yes it comes in a flimsy box, but that's not a big deal at all. It didn't change how this guy is running

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: -Fast as hell
-Integrated GPU is amazing

Cons: -Heatsink included is garbage. Get a 3rd party heatsink. Even Intel's integrated ones are better

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent value

Pros: Terrific price/performance value. A10-5800k has intel Core i3 performance combined with Radeon HD 6670 graphics performance!

You can even add a Radeon HD 6670 to your system later on, and AMD has a driver that will use BOTH of the GPU's together to increase performance!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: AMD A series processors have full AES-NI hardware acceleration, while intel Core i3 processors do not. If you're doing anything with encryption, either disk encryption or file encryption, you REALLY want AES-NI acceleration.

5 out of 5 eggsGo APU... go!

Pros: Amazing processor! This thing handles whatever I throw at it without even blinking.

Runs at 27C / 25C (APU / Mobo) at idle and 51C / 34C at full load (at full load web browsing is flawless and completely responsive). And that running with 1 x 120mm exhaust fan (original from case) and no intake fans. This is non-overclocked right now.

Cons: Stock cooler is garbage.

Other Thoughts: I couldn't fit a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO in my existing case and chose not to upgrade my case at this time. As a result, I opted to stick with my Cooler Master Vortex Plus cooler.

I need to pick up new intake fans as what I have now runs too loud due since it can only be connected only to a 4-pin molex from the PSU. Definitely a must since I prefer to maintain positive case pressure.

Haven't overclocked - yet.

Memory: G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1866 F3-1866C10D-16GAB
HDD: WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"
Cooler: Cooler Master Vortex Plus
Case: Cooler Master Elite 335 (single 120mm rear fan from original case, actually using air duct without a fan)
PSU: Thermaltake PurePower 500W NP (yep, need to upgrade)
