5 out of 5 eggsO baby the potential!

Pros: Combo this with a crossfire ready MOBO, FOR THE WIN
StarCraft 2 Ultra Settings, BF2 MAX Settings
Easy to install, CPU cooler had thermal gel pre-installed
One-click overclocking with my build

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Its a cheap alternative to more pricey units and as I said, in combination with an independent video card, the possibilities are endless; its like a 10 second head-start

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Apu

Pros: well i would like to say first off that i can play most of the newer games at 720p at max settings with af and aa off includes skyrim i get 35-40 outside inside i get 50-60,dmc devil may cry i get around 35-40 the hole game maxed out, fallout new vegas kinda old but it works great i get 40 with af at 12 and on ultra also bioshock infinite i get around 40 the hole game max setting with no af and aa...
Finally i dont think the heatsink is as bad as people say i get 27-35c on idle and around 40-45 playing games for 3-5 hours at a time

5 out of 5 eggsNice CPU

Pros: Fantastic processor for your general purpose builds that need productivity, web surfing, Facebook games, and occasional 3D gaming or rendering.

I just love these. The chipsets are dirt cheap so there's inexpensive motherboards 'a plenty, even full size ATX ones (traditionally it's nearly impossible to find anything but MicroATX on an integrated graphics board).

Plenty of horsepower to zip around Windows & applications seamlessly. Most computer users don't tax the processor hardly at all, so despite there being faster alternatives (most Intel chips); I find this chip more well rounded because of the [better than Intel] graphics capabilities you get essentially for free.

For only one Benjamin, you are getting a LOT for your money.

Cons: Stock heatsink I would consider borderline acceptable, and certainly not appropriate for turning up voltage when overclocking.

Other Thoughts: When it's all said and done, I tend to get a better overall performance per dollar with AMD. Now if I'm building a computer purely for speed or gaming, Intel is hard to beat. But 90% of my builds are for people who just want a fast system for those things mentioned above. Few processors serve the purpose this well at this price.

Rock solid stability, even overclocked to 4.0ghz. There's probably room for more, but my aftermarket heatsink/fan is not all THAT much bigger than the stock setup, so temps will be a concern if pushed too far.

I can't see what AMD has in store for their next APU. These things just keep getting better!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Works decently well.
-Built-in graphics are decent as well. The APU concept works for lower-end systems.
-Reasonably fast quad-core CPU.
-Great selection of motherboards with plenty of good features.

Cons: -Not as fast as many comparable Intel CPUs. Not even those of yesteryear.
-Can't hold a candle to my Core i7-950 main or Core i7-920 server/cruncher.

Other Thoughts: -It doesn't really need to beat or even match my Core i7's. It cost a lot less and the integrated graphics makes it much more functional.
-I found it worthwhile to build a secondary system. This chip simply supplements what my main & server can do.
-On second thought, I probably should have built a dual-core Ivy Bridge to supplement my main. The different wouldn't have been massive in my uses--though this A8-5600K will definitely do lower-end games better.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!!

Pros: This APU works amazing. Paired with my other hardware (other thoughts) this plays Sim City quite well at medium/high graphics, Sims 3 great on very high graphics with native 1680x1050 res, and flight simulator x on ulra high graphics and native res!

Cons: Using the AMD overclocking tool I did an auto overclock to 3.8GHz and the system crashed...

Other Thoughts: Paired with
Crucial Ballistix 4GB DDR3 1866
AsRock FM2A85x Mobo
430W Corsair modular PSU
500GB 7200RPM HDD

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great right out of the box. No problems what so ever. Can overclock it to 4.0 with no sweat.

Cons: The cpu fan is pretty noisy.

Other Thoughts: Tried fixing the cpu fan by taking it apart and lubricating it but I still couldn't figure out what's making that sound that sound like crickets continuously chirping at night.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I enjoy the fusion of the CPU + GPU. I can game normally with it. I play games like Diablo 3, StarCraft 2, SimCity, and a few others like that. I haven't had any sacrifice in performance from my old rig to my new rig using this.

Cons: The stock heat sink and fan isn't THAT awful. I won't lie, I bought an after market fan but installed it after one week of usage and the difference is slightly noticeable. I don't mind it the stock heat sink and fan, but buying an after market fan isn't a bad idea. That's the only con for me with this (just the heat sink and fan).

Other Thoughts: I've been enjoying using this. Worked like a charm. I did end up using a Radeon HD 6670 to CrossFire with this and it serves its purpose well. I am more than happy with this APU. It would get 4.5 eggs if I could give it. The fan/heat sink is what holds it back from a full 5.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Performance, Runs Warm

Pros: Smooth 1080p60 h264 video, makes execellent general purpose media server (MythTV), running 2-3 concurrent video processes.
Catalyst graphics drivers support LINUX.

Cons: If your average CPU usage exceeds 20% get a large heatsink!!! Otherwise expect it to be at max design temp.
Added a ~700g heatsink and it can run 100% all day at a rational temp (55C).

With GPU on chip, it really needs a larger stock heatsink.

Other Thoughts: APU is nice combo but it does add heat to chip: it will use 100watts when it needs to and generates heat accordingly.

Use the fastest possible RAM as that is also video RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little budget chip

Pros: Great all around performance for the price; it's a budget all-in-one solution.

It will play games just as well as entry level graphics cards, and the CPU is unlocked so you can overclock to your heart's content and have solid CPU performance for basic computing.

Don't fool yourself into thinking this is a 2500k or anything, but it's a great budget CPU.

I put it in a basic office ITX rig and haven't benchmarked it, but I can say that it's VERY snappy for basic Windows 7 use.

Cons: Power consumption is a bit high compared to the competition, but not a big deal to me.

Stock cooler is uber terrible... it's soooooooooo loud for what it does. Buy an aftermarket cooler.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to just have a basic chip to be the base of a bare-bones ITX office rig which is basically used for internet, email, and office documents; I don't actually do any graphics work on this or any CPU-intensive stuff.

Bought it over something cheap from Intel because I needed an integrated DL-DVI output on the motherboard for my 1440p monitor and the only ITX boards with that are AMD's FM2 boards.
