5 out of 5 eggsLOVE IT!!!

Pros: >>> Saved my electric bill <<< My system running 24/7 only runs at 250 watts of power now. Whereas before when I was running my AMD FX-8320 system 24/7 was running at 560 wats of there abouts.

For what I use my system for this new A6-5400K system will do just fine. Plenty of SATA6 ports on my new ASRock FM2A88M PRO3+ MicroATX board.

System Specifications:
* Cooler Master N400
* Raidmax 530w Modular Power Supply
* ASRock FM2A88M PRO3+ HDMI Motherboard
* A6-5400K Black Edition 3.6GHz Dual-Core APU
* Crucial 16GB DDR3 Dual-Channel Memory (Exp. 64GB)
* Crucial 512GB SATA6 SSD - Boot Drive
* Seagate 8TB SATA6 HDD - Storage
* 16x Bluray Burner
* TekRepublic Multi-Format Card Reader
* Windows 10 Home 64-Bit Full Edition

Cons: Nothing negative to speak of this setup. I will definitely buy again for sure.

Other Thoughts: Everyday computing
Data Recovery Workstation
Streaming music and videos with no problems

5 out of 5 eggsBlown Away

Pros: Quick and Quite...

For the price you can't beat this cpu... If you're building a PC to watch movies, visit websites, etc this is the way to go..

I have Windows 10 running on it..

Cons: For $40 I can't put anything in here... You'd never find a $40 intel processor that runs anywhere near as well as this cpu.

Other Thoughts: I can't imagine running video editing or even photoshop would be much fun but for the basic stuff this is perfect.

I actually just built 2 more HTPCs with this processor.. It's perfect for running Kodi!

5 out of 5 eggsAnother Great APU!!

Pros: *Excellent Power Efficiency - 23W @ Idle
*Quick - powers through everyday tasks with ample ease
*Inexpensive! @ 44.99 you just can't beat the value!

Cons: *Slight hiccups during heavy CPU usage such as during the Windows 8.1 install working on updates & program installation.
Made me a tad bit worried, did I choose the right budget chip for the job? After all was said and done though, never saw a hiccup again. After all..I was doing Windows updates & regular app installs simultaneous which pushed the chip to 100% usage. But after all was said and done.... flawless.

Other Thoughts: I'm very impressed with this little chip after completing 8.1 and putting it through it's paces for testing before delivering to my client. Power usage is excellent.

We paired this little guy with the following: Biostar HiFi A70UD3 Motherboard, 8GB GSkill Sniper Ram, LG DL DVD Burner & a Team L5 Ultra 120GB SSD powered by an Antec Earthwatts 380w 80+ PSU.

Power measurements were as follows from my P3 meter.

System Booting Up = Max Peaked 64w
System @ Idle = 23w
Watching Youtube Video = 27 to 36w
PeaceKeeper Benchmark = 43 to 50w
HD Video Playback = 31w

And opening apps, surfing the web, opening files.. incredibly snappy. With a pure hardware cost of just $200 you'll be surprised at how quick this little machine is. Excellent value. I think having a quality PSU does make a difference as well. Around this time last year I built an A4-7300 based rig for a client and saw 36w idle on a Rosewill 400w PSU that wasn't 80+ certified. TDP of both chips are the same so you'd assume closer efficiency numbers. Great little APU for the price. I'd def recommend for home or basic office / work duties. Will get the job done!

5 out of 5 eggsWhat an amazing little chip

Pros: What a bargain! Since I got mine I've used it in a couple different applications - it started in my plex server, now it's in my HTPC. It's been lightening fast throughout. I've run it with Linux and Windows and it performs equally well in both.

Cons: None to speak of. Sure, you can find fast chips, but you'll pay a lot more. The best bang for buck I've had processor-wise.

Other Thoughts: It's not a world-beater, but this chip is both cheap and fast. If you're looking to build an HTPC or a light gaming PC, you can't beat it.

3 out of 5 eggsWouldn't recommend pairing with dgpu

Pros: One of the best value dual-core CPUs
Plays 2D games nicely

Cons: If you're a serious gamer/multitasker, up your budget
Since it's a low-end APU, it will bottleneck mid to high end GPUs

Other Thoughts: The APU bottlenecked my Radeon 270x, I can't get over 17 fps on high settings in Arma III. The dual core APU's might be too slow for even YouTube, which was a big reason why I bought the 270x (I was experiencing stuttering in 1080p videos, and the 270x didn't fix the issue). If you want to improve the performance of these APUs you'll have to buy a low-end Radeon that can Crossfire with it's iGPU, the higher end GPU's can't and will probably run into some driver issues. Try to save up a bit more for the quad-core version of this (the A10). Since I already bought the 270x, however, I thought it would just be better to switch to an Athlon x4 860k.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: see comments

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Used this to update the bios for a different system, but I did use a machine with one of these in it for a few months and it's quite a champ for a very cheap dual core... If all you're doing is basic computing then this will serve you well. I also did a bit of gaming with it and an HD7850. It did just fine at 1080p mid settings and performed surprisingly okay at high settings. Not exactly meant for gaming but if you just play LOL or something similar then even integrated graphics will be acceptable.

4 out of 5 eggsA solid processor

Pros: Runs well, Easily hits 4.0 GHz plus.

Cons: Rare system crashes.

Other Thoughts: Combined with my MSi A88XM mother board and GeForce 650Ti OC graphics card this processor helped make a very good entry to mid level gaming rig,
