5 out of 5 eggsExcellent CPU for my needs

Pros: Easy to install and set up. Purchased as part of a completely new system for my two children ages 11 and 13 for their gaming computers.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Used the entire purchased components to teach my two daughters how to assemble their own systems and get them up and running for schooling and gaming. Both builds went off without a hitch thanks to easy to read included instructions.

5 out of 5 eggsNot To Bad

Pros: Snappy little CPU.

Cons: If people are complaining then they don't understand the specs on this APU. Are they can't setup a desktop, some people are just cheap, expect a Mustang when buying an Escape.

Other Thoughts: Good little CPU!!

1 out of 5 eggsArrived DOA - Garbage

Pros: If there is any, I don't know about them.

Cons: Arrived DOA out of the box. RMA to Newegg in which they said one of the pins was bent and they cannot determine whether it was shipped like that or if I caused it.

Now I'm stuck with a useless CPU and I have to hope I can get it returned with AMD because Newegg refused.

Other Thoughts: I used to be all about AMD 10+ years ago until I switched to Intel. This is my 1st AMD build in 8 years and I have had nothing but issues with this and the MOBO. I will stick with Intel from now on.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have used several Ubuntu and linuxmint without any trouble. Fedora also works but I do not like it as much and therefore do not use it. I also run dos with dosemu as the emulator and have not had any trouble.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I use it manly for internet. When my sons windows 7 is slow , I use linux to stop the wait.

5 out of 5 eggsFast budget cpu

Pros: Fast for most casual gamers or web surfers and priced right for a budget build. Overclockable if you want.

Cons: Runs a little warm for my liking compared to my other brand

Other Thoughts: If overclocking get a water cooler like a h50 or h70

5 out of 5 eggsFast little baby

Pros: Well i was surprise with this baby i got this this in a combo and i haven't dealt with AMD since socket 939 so its been awhile. I went from a core 2 quad to this need to replace my moms computer with a budget and this worked with money. Very fast considering its a dual core and not a quad but it has no problems runs great very happy.

Cons: Heat sink were do i begin lets put it this way its a joke i laughed when i saw that thing but i already order a cooler master vortex plus now i know under newegg specs it dosnt support FM2 but i looked under AMD and Cooler Master and AM2 and AM3 heat sinks are the same as FM1 and FM2 they are all the same just the chip has different pin layout so i bought that and it stays under 35 c with some arctic silver 5 so very happy

Other Thoughts: Buy it if you need a budget chip i wouldn't get anything under it

3 out of 5 eggsLinux Seems No-Go

Pros: This worked relatively well for my little media box under my living room TV. It has no trouble with bluray or streaming HD, especially after I paired it with a cheap GFX card for dual-graphics.

Cons: This chip runs pretty hot, when decoding streaming HD, especially silverlight.
I can't seem to use this for any flavor of Linux, whatsoever. I did manage to get fedora installed, but the display glitches so badly that you can't even read the text on a menu... when you can actually see the menu.
If the developers read this, please make this usable for Linux, at least for some Ubuntu flavors. I bought your parts, and I want to use them in another build, after upgrading to other of your parts. I don't want to pay for windows for a spare parts rig.
