4 out of 5 eggsA beautiful piece of silicon until I destroyed it.

Pros: 8 cores at 4 GHz
Solid hardware for the price, ran for days without a hiccup.

Cons: Fan assembly on the provided heatsink is not intuitive. Attempts to clean the dust from the processor fan resulted in physical damage. I would recommend an after market cooler for this product.

Other Thoughts: Once the stock cooler is placed on the chip, never remove it. This is good general advice for any processor.

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy with the performance so far

Pros: I've got this on an Asus M5A99FX Pro motherboard with the stock cooler at the moment to see how the temps looks under load. (Waiting for my Hyper 612 to ship) Running GTA 5, which is pretty CPU demanding, the max core temp I've seen in HWMonitor is 56C, not overclocked. I'm not sure how accurate that reading is, but it's running very well so far. Once the aftermarket cooler comes in, I'll be doing some overclocking.

Cons: None whatsoever.

5 out of 5 eggsWorthy of itself

Pros: Sure, the AMD FX-8350 may not be capable of standing up against most of Intel's CPU's, but it still can pack one hell of a punch without breaking the bank. The CPU comes at a stock 4.0Ghz per core, but once it's revved up and overclocked, she's a screaming machine. I overclocked mine to 4.5Ghz and kept it there for good reason. The higher the overclock, the higher the temps. But, with an aftermarket CPU cooler, the temps stay steady and meet all my expectations. As for performance towards the computer, I've noticed Windows shuts down and boots up quicker. Applications also seem to be more quicker and responsive compared to my AMD Athlon II x4 945. Not much of a boost in FPS while gaming, but games these days are generally more dependent on the GPU rather the CPU. I recommend buying this CPU if you're looking for a decent CPU without having to sell your kidney just for an Intel i5 or i7.

Cons: None. I knew exactly what I was buying when I bought the FX-8350, and it's met all my expectations. I've always had AMD CPU's and although it might be as good as an Intel i7, it does everything I need it to do and then some.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent CPU for the price

Pros: Cheap
bang for your buck cpu
good multitasking
decent resell value since amd does not make cpu's very often it seems

Cons: the single core performance was really bad to say the least. Games like wow where single core performance is basically a must, it really did not shine at all here. low fps drops happened a lot when there was a lot of stuff going on on the screen.
you will have to buy another heatsink and fan for this to work the way its supposed to. The stock heat-sink and fan are complete garbage and super noisy.

Other Thoughts: I'd only go amd cpu's if you absolutely can't afford an intel. hell if you're a gamer an i3 would probably be better than this.
I bought an i5 4690k and have not looked back since. best decision ive made when it comes to computer parts. though I did have to switch motherboards as well.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and Cheap

Pros: Fast chip! I have had no problems running games slight micro stutters in Fallout 4 here and there but it's the only game that seems to ever do it so I think it might be the code. If you are on a budget I suggest getting this CPU over an i3! 1 year of ownership and she is still running well.

Cons: Not an i5 or i7

Other Thoughts: Consider a water cooler, don't buy junk get a corsair or better. Mine never hits over 45C.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked perfectly with no issues.

Pros: This product arrived in literally 1 day from Indiana to Ohio. Used this to replace my Phenom II 955 because all the games within the last year started showing stuttering when you move the mouse or change the camera around. Ran perfectly out of the box and has pretty standard temperatures. Makes GTA V, Shadows of Mordor, Civ V/Beyond Earth, and Far Cry 4 run better than ever.

Cons: None for me.

Other Thoughts: I was worried I had to upgrade my Bios to my Gigabyte 970a-d3, but I found out that the 3.0 version of the motherboard has updated bios. Only the 970a-d3 1.1 1.2 and 1.4 need updated. Plugged it in and windows started up no problems.

4 out of 5 eggsJust what I was expecting!

Pros: Run relatively cool w/ Zalman 9900, price is budget friendly for casual gamers like myself, runs Fallout 4 at 60 FPS w/ R7 270 and 16GB RAM, ARMA 3 is much smoother, and can process OBS / Twitch with all the aforementioned games with minimal hit on FPS.

Cons: None so far, though heat will likely become a factor as I turn up the juice on this thing.

Other Thoughts: I recently got into Streaming on Twitch. My Old AMD 6300 couldn't handle OBS and games made after 2010, so i was in the market for something better. Most of the material I read suggested an i5 or capture card via second PC. Neither were in my budget, so I opted to go with one of the more trusted 8-core AMD units which allowed me to keep my AM3 compatible MOBO. So far, it's been nothing but positive experiences with this CPU. For those aspiring CSGO streamers running AMD, this CPU does it easily. 120 FPS, no drops, and no hiccups. Fallout 4, 58 FPS (I think my GPU is the bottleneck here), minimal heat increase, but no hiccups. I have yet to test it with other titles, but so far - SO GOOD!
