5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Runs at 50-57 degree when overclocked to 4.1ghz and playing graphic intensive games.
This is with an ARCTIC Alpine 64 Plus CPU Cooler on it. The stock cooler is waaaaay too loud.
About the best bang for your buck ATM (was torn between this and the 8 core 3.5ghz, but am happy with this at a $20-$30 dollar saving)

Cons: just the stock cooler being loud

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This chip is really fast for what you pay for and runs cool even with stock fan.
Six cores allows alot of productivity and is unlocked.

Cons: Kinda underwhelming compared to other processers.

4 out of 5 eggsgood for very tight budget, terrible for top tier/cfx/sli graphics card configs.

Pros: tied with an i5 in any applications that utilize all cores, very cheap. good for budget gaming rig. for the money will beat any Intel in productivity, only reason to chose Intel over AMD for productivity purposes would be if you went for the 2011/2011-3 socket cpus, or if 150 dollars doesn't sound bad for a mainstream i7 with maybe a 20% gain over the 8 core go for it.

Cons: half the single threaded performance of Intel chips, does not work well with graphics cards above 280x/780 there's noticible framerate loss. Don't even consider it for multicard configurations

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected..but

Pros: 6 cores, even cores not as strong as intel's (let's be honest people, AMD's per-core performance isn't as good. That's a fact) are allowing me to breeze through anything i throw at it.
Gaming is seamless, i never hit above 35-40% cpu usage even running multiple programs, downloading files, and playing very cpu-intensive games (Payday2, Warframe). This is a powerhouse.

Cons: Well there are always cons, nothing can be perfect.
This processor does run hot. Not for me personally, as I am using a Noctua NH-U12S. Prime 95 for 3 hours my cpu never hit above 42C. But on a lower quality air cooler, you will see temperature spikes. It is a 125watt processor, and overclocking will increase the thermal output as well.
This is the biggest one, and the only reason i deducted an egg.
For the first two weeks I had this processor it caused me so much stress. Every few hours i would get a high-pitched screeching through my speakers, the screen would blur, and my system would freeze. Only a hard reset would shut my system off. Sounds like a GPU issue, right? Unfortunately not the case, it seems my motherboard overvolted the cpu because for some reason it was factory clocked higher than specified. I'm not sure who tested this particular ship, but they obviously did some tweaking before sending it out the factory door. Shame on you Mr. Factory Worker. Regardless, once i pulled the voltage back a bit my system has run smooth for a solid 5 months, no hiccups and only shutting down overnight or for software updates.

Other Thoughts: If you are considering building a gaming rig, go for this processor, or its 8-core big brother the 8350. They can easily handle all of your gaming needs. But keep in mind, they can run hot, and are power-hungry. If you're running anything higher in power draw than a 270x GPU alongside this, you need at least a 650W power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: -Great price for a 6 core processor with lightning speed
- for a first time builder (like i was) who is looking for a well prices CPU with great performance, you are in the right place (AMD should be paying me you know)
-the 6 cores and 3.9GHZ stock speed (and overclockable) allow for a great price-performance ratio

Cons: -none!

Other Thoughts: -I highly recommend this CPU, but I should mention i would advise getting an 8-core friendly mobo should you want to upgrade

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Awesome value, very decent CPU that was very reasonably priced.

Cons: I love lamp.

Other Thoughts: I'm not an OCer, but I am water-cooled and I can't get this thing to heat up at all with gaming (World of Tanks mostly -- which is single-threaded for some ignorant reason).

Want to eventually bring some OCing friends over and see what I can get out of this, but that's just for ego.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: You can't beat the price for performance on this proc! While AMD benchmarks aren't quite as high as Intel, for the price point it's amazing. I would suggest this to all. I've been using this processor for almost 2 years now. It's hosted on a Gigabyte motherboard along with 16Gb of Vengeance RAM.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsNo complaints

Pros: This CPU is fast, stable and easy to over clock with a good board and a good cooler. I really recommend spending a little more on a good board and overclocking this CPU. I reached 4.52Ghz easily with air cool.

This processor mutli-tasks like no other, as I type this I'm converting video with handbrake (Cores at 100%), ripping blu-rays, streaming netflix, playing HD video and browsing the web and there is absolutely no CPU lag. NONE. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Cons: Stock cooler is mediocre, but I'll probably never use any stock cooler again....

Other Thoughts: I came from a Phenom II X6 1090T over clocked at 4.2GHZ and I didn't really see much difference. If you have that CPU, stick with it. Kind of a waste of money to go from that to this.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful CPU

Pros: Powerful CPU with a great price point. The stock fan and radiator at actually pretty good and were easy to install. I haven't achieved temps above 28 C even under load, though this might be attributed to my additional case fans.

Cons: None so far.

4 out of 5 eggsNot that GOOD

Pros: The price and performance is very good BUT took one Egg off because of Con

Cons: I put this in a MSI 970 with 2 660 TI AND WHAT A JOKE THE C.P.U. cannot do SLI without bogging down with 8 G ram even. In order to Get high or ultra I have to take a little away and do 1600 res. On MOST games. BELOW

Other Thoughts: Yet my Intel 1-3 2130 3.4 ..2- Core smokes through ALL games on Ultra not a lag at all and it is 2 cores at 3.4 and I paid the same price as the 6 core 3 years ago.I have a old 940 and a 965 both 4 cores so I do like AMD. But for gaming give me Intel every time. You people quite comparing Intel to AMD this proves who is Gaming KING.
