5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: If your reading this and you thinking 6300 save money but its lower speed... just drop the extra $$ 400MHZ extra clock speed without having to tinker with overclocking.

Cons: This is the fist ever Stock fan i have ever replaced... the Fan went tick tick tick. replaces with cooler master vortex plus love it.

5 out of 5 eggsgood stuff

Pros: Not much to say... bought it on sale with promo code for a ~$500 build. No overclocking needed. Works fine.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance to price ratio!

Pros: Built a new system went from a 965BE with 4g of 1066 ddr2 to 8g of 1600 ddr3 what a difference! Say what you want about quad core versus six it's all fud, you'll see a huge difference. Even in old games like Call of Duty World at War the difference is obvious. Replaced everything in my system except my wd raptor and my HD6850OC video card and it just smokes all games now from old to new.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsAMD FanTastic.

Pros: Love their products [ successfully installed 8350 Vishera
FX990 ] with Cooler Master Seidon H2O cooled CPU unit.
This CPU has a Cooler Master EVO 212 cooler. Both
CPUs MOBOs are running efficiently. Have not over clocked this CPU, yet.

Cons: None...... been lucky so far.

Other Thoughts: Ready to try install an A10-7850K Kaveri FM2 socket.
if you are a little hesitant in building your 1st box.
Honestly it is nerve racking @ first. But now i have
conquered the initial shock /hair raising emotions.
i am confident AND proficient @ building or upgrading
computers. To lessen the excitement 'You Tube' AND
reading the MOBO's User's/ installation guide.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat budget CPU

Pros: -3.9ghz, 6 core (Bulldozer modules =/= hyperthreading), 6mb L2 and 8mb L3 cache
-No real need to overclock at 3.9 unless you're doing something CPU intensive, and since most games are GPU dependent you'll be set at 3.9
-Will not bottleneck any GPU
-Came with Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon

Cons: -The stock fan is garbage and you will definitely need to buy a new one
-With the aftermarket cooler this processor stays at a constant 20C for me on idle and no higher than mid 30s/ low 40s when playing games

Other Thoughts: Recommended for budget builds. If you're gonna overclock you might as well get the 6300 though.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

Pros: 6 cores!
Preforms to spec, beautifully and powerfully.
This sucker absolutely delivers. My RAM (currently 8gb) is now the only bottleneck in me system.

Cons: THE ROARING BEAST OF THE PLAINS HAS SPOKEN AND WILL NOT BE IGNORED!
Invest in an aftermarket fan, the stock fan is very loud.

I gets a little warm, but mine is air cooled and tucked into a corner, so I could have a skewed perspective.

5 out of 5 eggsTop value CPU right now

Pros: Running Debian x64 in stable condition 24/7 for the last several weeks on an ASRock 970 PRO3 R2.0.

This CPU has easily handled an ARMA 3 dedicated server without breaking a sweat even after loading 24+ mods.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Had some initial setup issues getting the system to post, but after some testing the issue was isolated to a bad RAM stick and resolved.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Chip

Pros: Great inexpensive (relatively) 6-core chip.
Excellent on heavily threaded apps
Does well for mid range gaming.

There really is no reason to ignore this chip. It works very well for nearly every application.

Cons: The only con I can think of is this chip uses 41W more power than the i5-4470. Over the computers life, the difference in electrical cost (at least where I live) will not come close to the cost this build so I really can't call it a con.

Other Thoughts: This chip is doing very well with my heavily threaded apps. Ran the same task on an Intel i5-4470 (quad-core) with same ram size and SSD (this system I built for a colleague) and my FX-6350 was only 6.3 min behind the i5 on a 4.5 hr task. Considering the Intel build would have cost me $370 more, I am glad I choose the AMD option as it is not worth that cost to gain a little over six minutes for a task that both chips took more than 4 hrs to complete. Additionally, it is a task I do frequently in my work and considering the tasks are not time sensitive, I am very happy.

Would suggest this chip to anyone who uses heavily threaded applications. If you primarily use single threaded apps, then go Intel as the AMD chips will falter there.

5 out of 5 eggsAMDE FX-6350

Pros: This processor is most definitely worth the money. Very good performance and a terrific price. I replaced a Phenom II 3.7GH with this processor. The performance is very good and it runs far cooler than my Phenom II. Some have complained about the fan but it installed with no problem and is not at all loud. I would definitely recommend this processor to anyone.

Cons: None that I've encountered
