3 out of 5 eggsMy bad

Pros: um... inexpensive quad core...

Cons: it doesn't list clearly enough that this doesn't allow for integrated graphics, so while trying to build something for someone in a hurry it has not only cost me $30 more for a GPU but it has also cost me 3 days on the build.

Other Thoughts: I take blame for this, my fault for not noticing that a board with a VGA port would not put out video, because for some convoluted reason AMD thought it a good idea to allow a board built for APU to accept a CPU. I still feel the need to write this review.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT for a budget

Pros: This CPU performs well above what was expected, for the money its one of the best out there for a budget, in benchmarks this actually out performs the intel core I3 3220 and that CPU is $50 more than this one you really can not go wrong.

Cons: this stock cooler leaves a little to be desired but because this is the 65w standard version and not the 100w Black edition 750k or 760k. it stays with in acceptable temps. so not really a con just the only thing I could find to put here.

Other Thoughts: for a budget build you have came to the right place I have this build:

AMD Athlon x4 740
MSI AMD r7 260x
MSI A55M-E35 FM2+/FM2 AMD Hudson D2 MB
4gb ADATA ddr3 1600 ram
WD 500gb Blue 7200rpm
Diablotek 600w PSU
LG DVD/CD Burner
Rosewill FBM-02 Micro ATX Case

this plays Titanfall on max no sweat. around 60FPS

5 out of 5 eggsGets the Job Done

Pros: Price and Performance

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Why pay the premium for an Intel CPU when this does the job for a lot less money. I'm using it for an HTPC and light gaming in an MSI A78M-E45 with 8GB of RAM and a HD7770 video card. It does run a bit warmer than I was expecting (~42 C) at idle with an aftermarket cooler (Cooler Master Vortex Plus) but the fan on the heatsink was turned down and the thermal paste I used is suppose to become more efficient after some curing time. Have had no problems with over heating under moderate gaming use.

5 out of 5 eggsgood for gaming

Pros: put it with a good video card and can run anything

Cons: no so far

Other Thoughts: this is a good price for a CPU not everyone wants to spend a lot of money to get into PC gaming and you don't need to I would just put a little extra money into a good video card with PC parts this low you can build a good gaming PC under $600.00 I built my sons computer for $545.00 and he plays every game he like with no problems I spent that extra money on his Evga 660 Ti 2GB

4 out of 5 eggsOverall good, but can get hot with stock heatsink.

Pros: It's a cheap quad core and seems reliable thus far.

Cons: It can get around 80 degrees celsius with the stock heatsink and fan under load. I would recommend an aftermarket heatsink/fan if you are getting this cpu.

Other Thoughts: The temperatures are around 50C when idle.

5 out of 5 eggsUpgrade & rebuild

Pros: Low power quad-core. Stock cooler is sufficient for out of box.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Just building a Media center PC for TV DVD and Netflix. Low power & quiet is excellent.
