5 out of 5 eggsWorks great for an APU

Pros: CPU/APU built into one. Not bad. I don't like how hot it runs, all my temp programs says idle at 50c, re-seated the APU multiple times using Cooler Master Sedion 120v and Artic Silver. Hasn't locked up but the temps show they have reached 75-80c during long gaming runs and CPU stress tests...

Cons: Temps run high, but it isn't bad, aftermarket fans can be turned low and it's silent or purrs when under load. Cool n Quiet for the win!

I am afraid to overclock it very much due to the idle and stress temps it reads. Could just be a bad sensor on my mobo... but 4.5ghz and 2400nb with 2133mhz memory isn't bad.

Other Thoughts: I eventually added a GPU with more kick for better framerates. And of course, now I am thinking I should have gone CPU/GPU vs the APU route. Being my daughters pc, I didn't expect her to game much... but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree haha! Still runs nice though.

4 out of 5 eggsA great buy for my pocket!

Pros: The Quad Core does quite a good job on me being able to play a lot of higher-end games that I normally wouldn't be able to do. It does a lot better job than my older computer to say the least! I haven't had any real issues with it all things considered. The heatsink provided with it also does a good job!

Cons: Upon first use, it does a good job. However, the paste on the heatsink needed to be replaced, as I noticed it wasn't keeping my CPU cooled It also had some prior bubbling after the shipping, but I did overlook it. After adding the coating for the heatsink, it did a much better job and reduced the heat significantly!

Other Thoughts: I recommend at least reapplying the coating on the heatsink before use.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for price

Pros: Cheap, good speed, not made for modern games (dedicated graphics card takes all the stress away)

Cons:
Hot - overclocked slightly in a very lazy way up to 4.7ghz with air cooler

Other Thoughts: Runs all games I have thrown at it in ultra including GTA V. Not sure what some people are saying. I have this paired with a GTX760 4g and it has no issues with games. neither goes above 60C while under stress. I would definitely recommend to a budget build, but I will be jumping on the intel bandwagon soon.

3 out of 5 eggsdecent end of life kicker for FM2

Pros: Somewhat faster than the trinity 65w that it replaced, reasonable price

Cons: Updating the AMD drivers on Win7/64 took some trial and error. Using their 'system analyzer' installer version worked fine. No problem with Linux Mint.

Other Thoughts: due to shipping snafu, took over 1 week to travel from south san francisco to san francisco, a distance of about 10 miles.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat processor

Pros: The processor is fast and for the price you can not go wrong. If you run liquid cooling or even a hyper evo 212 plus ,you will get great temperatures in bios. I used three of these in builds and they work well.

Cons: The included cooler

Other Thoughts: Glad I bought this processor

5 out of 5 eggsNever slow

Pros: This chip is remarkable. I'm able to play GTA V and every game I've thrown at it amazingly coupled with my gtx 660. Actually runs better in Windows 10. Not what I'd call the best quality out there but it is deserving of 5 eggs.

-You can easily run Niresh Mavericks.
-Games run at a decent FPS especially with a good card
-Cheap. It's the best bang for the buck considering purchasing a gaming card is optional
-Fast. This thing blazes through applications.

This is the best upgrade for the FM2 boards, don't settle for less, there is no reason not to buy this chip over a lower model.

Cons: It's getting a little old.

Other Thoughts: When I planned out my PC, I first bought a amd a4-4000 combo with a gigabyte motherboard. It was the best option considering I was broke and that's all I could afford. Used linux on it for a while, switched to windows, hated the speed. With the a4-4000 chip, windows is slow- so eventually I upgraded to this. It was like being relieved of a giant boil of the lack of function in windows. That and for the first time since it came out, I could actually run GTA4. Linux seems to run all of these apu chips quite well and it rarely hiccups. However, when I upgraded my APU it was an insanely noticeable difference that was a mixture of relief that I had seen the end of the slowness and awe as it booted windows 7 so quick. I recommend to anyone with an apu board. Don't quite jump on the intel money train in your frustration before the subtle rollout of new products, the thing does the trick.

3 out of 5 eggsAMD A10-6800K Richland 4.1GHz Processor

Pros: Wasn't DOA, worked well for idle tasks like web browsing etc.

Cons: NOT FOR PC GAMING! IF YOU'RE A PC GAMER STAY AWAY! Amd processor have always been inferior to Intel in terms of quality for a while now. The price however was so good it suckerd me in. Can barley run BF4 and GTA 5 on low settings. I thought it was my GPU at first but no, its the processor not being able to keep up. If this is just for a standard desktop build then its ok but if you're gamer avoid it like the plague.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for some games.

Pros: CPU is good for Minecraft or games equally intensive
Graphics are OK.... but not great
Motherboards are cheap
Overclockable

Cons: If you are looking to upgrade graphics later (which I did, to an R9 270X) you may have bottlenecks.
CPU is not great for more intensive tasks (video editing, games like ARK: Survival Evolved)

Other Thoughts: I think for the price, this is GREAT for beginning gamers. But if you want to get into new, more intensive games, you will want something a bit better (FX series)
As for the graphics, anything more than Minecraft vanilla, you will want a dedicated GPU.

4 out of 5 eggscpu heat

Pros: the cpu is great for some gaming, will handle light duty jobs

Cons: i had mine for a bit but this cpu has my pc popping up warning
: cpu temp 60 centigrades it has my mother board 250.f its a heat rising cpu scorching hot if you buy it will need better then the heat sink i think the cpu is good but amd should think about tossing a better heat sink in with the cpu they sell

Other Thoughts: i dig my build enermax ostrog,ASUS A85XM-A,G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C10D,AMD A10-6800K Richland Quad-Core 4.1 GHz Socket FM2 100W AD680KWOHLBOX Desktop Processor - Black Edition AMD Radeon HD 8670D,Seagate Barracuda Green ST1500DL003 1.5TB 5900 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive, Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST3000DM001 3TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive,Rosewill Stallion Series RD400-2-SB - 400-Watt ATX 12V v2.2 Power Supply,windows 10 pro, Emerson 32" Class (31.5" Diag.) 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV LC320EM2.
